that's false. sure, the meta changes, but not drastically enough for 2014 stuff to be horrible now

The late late game TvP meta isn't really any different.

It's still the go-to lategame TvP. Right now it takes much longer to get there though (or doesn't at all) because colossus builds nowadays are made to survive the terran midgame and SCV pulls. That means skipping gas on the third for a while, getting very late storm and focusing on more units midgame. That in turn leaves terrans open to huge 2/2 timings if they tech and expand too greedily. So it's sort of a midgame stalemate where either side can just die immediately if they make a mistake.

Taeja has always had the sickest viking/ghost imo Yeah, I can't remember him ever losing if he got to the mass orbital ghost/viking stage. And he was better than most people at getting there as well.
