But I don't know, is there a compelling reason to disregard them? It's the same player pool. Offline shows the player's ability to deal with a lot of pressure, but I don't see why online should be completely disregarded.

INnoVation has an 89% win-rate against Korean Protosses in 2015. Maru has an 80% win-rate against Korean Terrans in 2015. Parting has a 92% win-rate against Korean Terrans in 2015. These are the only players with 80% or above vs Koreans in any match-up.

PartinG's game sense was unimpeachable.

The weekly tournaments are in there and while i think it is nice to have them, usually the player pool isn't really the same at all. This might be different for big online qualifiers though.

He certainly is the player with the best results in this GSL considering where he just come from. Come on BigBoy, time to show your best in a GSL final !

I think the problem arises when you're comparing two players and only one of them regularly plays online stuff. They might face roughly the same number of tough opponents, but if one of them is playing online he will most likely have played more games against easier opponents. PartinG has clean sweep wins from this year over KeeN, Center and Spear, all of whom are probably worse than any Korean Terran that herO has played this year. The stat that stands out for me is that Maru is the only Terran that either of them have lost to this year. It's pretty hard to pick who's better IMO.

Yeah exactly, it's almost like comparing stats of players who play in different regions. A lot of online play will usually boost your winrates quite a bit due to lesser competition. That's the reason i always filter koreans AND offline

I was planning on watching this series but I missed it...but I guess I didn't miss much ;( why would you think that? The series was pretty one sided but definitely worth watching, especialy for Partings immaculate micro and sick mind game-y build orders.
