I want Life to win but does indeed Taeja look really strong vs every race and I think TvZ is terran favoured already (MC said so too yesteday), so if the games are standard Taeja should win. can't remember but didn't he also win in times that no terran could ? like he wins all the time Absolutely. Taeja doesn't care for balance, he just wins. But it doesn't hurt if the meta is in his favour . Not sure about the BL-infestor era since i started watching sc2 after that i think but i think when protoss was kinda favored he was the only one winning shit. During Bl-infestor era only Mvp, Taeja and Polt were winning things for Terran. And later on just Mvp and Taeja. Taeja had an 80% win rate in the BL infestor era, highest of any player and was the last non-Zerg in a WOL GSL. Alright i'll drop the bomb. Can taeja possibly be the greatest terran player of sc2 ? I don't think so. MVP still has 4 GSL golds and 2 GSL silvers.

It is the most important skill. All the greats talk about mental control all the time. Julyzerg, Mvp, Jaedong, Flash, oov, Boxer, MC.

I'm not sure I would agree that the players Taeja beat were much harder or that he did it much more convincingly (Life did crush San - the only Zerg this year to do so), but he's definitely looked good. Taeja beat the 2 GSL finalists, convincingly. Life only narrowly beat Zest but stomped a weaker player (San). San is a weaker all around player. His PvZ is legit though. Life beating him and making it look easy was seriously impressive.

BW/SC2/Dota2/Dota/LoL/HS/FGC/CS/CSGO/Quake have basically gone on for the last 10-12 years. It's bad, but a this point if you're expecting to never have to deal with technical difficulties, you're in for a bad time.

Given all the foreign tournament experience Taeja has (and presumably, online qualifiers) I do think Taeja is used to being in these kinds of weird, uncomfortable situations. Not just the lag but in his interview he mentioned it was hard getting used to the Blizzcon setup (monitors, chairs, etc) but he pulled through regardless. One can argue it was unfair to Innovation or whatever but on the other hand you can also argue Taeja just has more overall experience as a pro and being able to win in any circumstance is part of being a progamer. The whole situation sucked but I do think Taeja proved he deserved to advance.

It's really powerful because nobody else seems to be able to do what he normally does and get away with it.

I heard a rumor that it wasn't actually a kbd problem? Anyway there were far more problems than just that. Also herO has a right to be angry when it DC'd right as he was making the critical blink push.

You shouldnt have to, but it happened. This is at least the second time Taeja has had to deal with it. And we didnt discount IM's 1-7 All kill of Taeja back then.

So in order of hype for the winner, it would go: TaeJa>Life>MMA>Classic.
Disagree?

I think Zest and soO are on the same level, now Inno seems to be a harder opponent than San, but Life crushed San so hard and San has such sick PvZ stats, that I see their runs as even thus far.
San was 22-0 or something absurd in offline PvZs this year, including a win over soO in Korea. San's PvZ shouldn't be underestimated

So I got 3/4 right, only missing MMA over Bomber. Go Taeja!

In dota 2 a 10 minute pause is sometimes normal.
