Terran actually was suffering a lot and only started to dominate again recently after a bunch of Protoss nerfs and Terran buffs. Before that Zerg was dominating at the end of WoL and Protoss dominated HotS.

Zerg has probably been the weakest race throughout the year, but thank god we have soO.

soO's the reason we don't get buffed.

The worse the race, the more godlike our 1 good player looks.

OK, follow-up question: people have been saying for years that the bigger a map, the harder it is for Terran because of reinforcing distance. This is by far the biggest map pool we've ever had, with only one map being smaller than Whirlwind... so is map size not that big a deal after all?

Those maps aren't that huge, and huge maps like Deadwing are indeed hard for T.

The rally distance is only very long on Catallena (when Zerg takes the furthest fourth) and Deadwing. It also works both ways, if for instance you lose a fight on cross Deadwing as a Terran, Zerg won't be immediately in your base with the counter.

It doesn't matter because we suck as a whole.

Speak for yourself please, I'm top level

In what world is 8 offensive nexi "top level"?

8 offensive nexi into losing is 4 times 2 offensive nexi into losing, so one could argue, that Lorning is 4 times as good as Dear. That argument might have slight flaws, though.

You can't judge on pure length/width alone, it's about the rush distance combined with airspace and chokes. This season's map pool has more abusable air space and chokes combined with less blinkable ledges. Also, the maps like Deadwing and Nimbus that are truly huge have compensating Terran-favoured factors like Nimbus' natural being super-vulnerable to drops and Deadwing having architecture that benefits Tanks and multi-pronged aggression (although TvZ you still don't want to see Deadwing).

Anything that favors T drop play also favors muta play, so TvZ isn't as much affected as TvP. On Nimbus you basically have to hope the T messes up or play Phoenix colossi. It's a fundamentally bad map for this match-up, far more than Yeonsu.

Wouldn't totally agree on that. Some maps are better for dropping then defending against drops, imo. :-P

I know very little about TvZ since I play P, but what I mean is what gives you drop opportunities should open symmetric muta harass opportunities. This does not hold for TvP where harass is more done via zealots warp-ins.

I kinda wish Blizzcon was double elimination. You hear that Blizzard that's a small improvement I can get behind! Just make the opening weekend 2 days of playing instead of this all of ro16 in one day thing

In regard to the results, Zerg has probably been the weakest month ever since HotS was released, weren't they?

I don't think deadwing is that bad for T. The ledges and the seige spots make it pretty good close spawn.
