Maybe he has a legitimate reason (I don't know what), but if it's just "he was tired/ tired of playing", then that's crap
If he's going to sleep at about 8:30 PM local time, there's something more going on here. My completely unjustified guess is that he's sick - it's about that time of year.

So Polt already 2-0ed Puck today and is 6-0 in games... is the finals also Best of 3? BoX not on Liquipedia/ OP (unless I missed it).

Yeah he's still in America atm right? East coast time right now is before 9 PM, and western U.S. is obviously even earlier.
Hope he's okay.
EDIT: Boucot says he's in Korea.

Polt ForGGing is way to San Jose !
|
Puck, it's time to move on to Game 2.
|
Puck lined them up when he didn't need to... He donated those Hellions to Polt when Hellions weren't even anywhere close.
|
Polt rolled everyone as expected. 8-0.

That was way too easy for Polt once again. He actually qualified for every single IEM since Shanghai 2013 (except Singapore, cause he didn't try).
And it was pretty optimistic from viOLet to try to qualify today since he is in Korea right now.

don't agree with any backlash for violet. "disappointing" is understandable but anything else is between him and his sponsors/the tournament orgs. bottom line is esports is free entertainment and if the guy was asleep he was asleep. shit happens, no reason to not root for him next time or shit on him

To clear up some confusion, violet is not sick, hes just in korea right now and the tournament being at 4:00 pm EDT was just too early in the morning for him. After his loss to polt he just bowed out and decided to catch some more sleep instead since he was in no shape to defeat polt. Stage 2 of the Open is at 7:00 pm EDT which will be a much better time for him, so we'll see a much better violet there :D

Sick lineup but no Masa

Good to see Coco's not completely hanging it up just yet, despite his academic obligations.

I'll be honest, it kind of surprises me to see Violet get an invite after what happened.

Looking on through the brackets on IEM's site...Are there only 8 spots total for San Jose? I couldn't find any more information besides 2 european, 2 asian (korean), 3 American (north and south), and one specific U.S. Spot.
Assuming San Jose will be similar to Toronto, there will be 16 spots. Are there more qualifiers or are there invites based on previous tournament performances?
Am a bit conufsed.
