TL Pro Preview

axiom is one of the few teams where i think every single one of their players could take down taeja and their protoss could probably manage hero in his first 1-2 games, i think it's either gonna be a close one with liquids foreigners contributing or a stomp for axiom if they don't,
now watch as taeja 4-0s loses to alicia and hero beats alicia just to completely invalidate me and my opinions

Keep in mind this might be 2 hours earlier and Acer vs Invictus might be today at 13:00 CEST. Would be nice to have confirmations by the involved parties!

I can confirm as admin of ATC that this will be at 3PM CEST so 2 hours before the actual calendar event shows and Acer vs iG is cancelled due to INnoVation playing Code S!
|
Big match for Axiom, rooting hard for them. I hope they can pull out the win.
|
An upset for Axiom and they will be a shoe-in for the play-offs. This is their hardest remaining fixture (they should be able to beat both mouz and Empire-Fnatic) so a win would be simply fantastic. It's going to be so hard to beat team that has TaeJa, HerO, Snute and a revive though.
|
personally hoping for another impact tl all kill :p

I don't know about that. There isn't a weak player on Axiom, and if any of Axiom's players were to all kill or grab 3+ wins, it would not be infeasible. I don't think there's a clear favorite here, and I think this will be a great match between two of the top teams. Go Axiom!

The foreigners on Liquid are definitely strong and either Snute, Bunny, or TLO could win a couple of games but no way could they all-kill.

C'mon Liquid show us some of that competitive horse fighting.

Ofcourse all of them could allkill. Is it likely? Nope. But even ret with 5 times his a-game has potential to allkill. Liquid is one of the teams with the deepest lineup. There is no certain WEAK player there. You might say Taeja and HerO are still a bit above the others, but Snute is in very good form and can certainly allkill. Bunny is good, depending how the games go and how confident he is today, he might as well.
TLO is in shape - he can take a few maps as well. Does that mean Axioms players cant? No. Axiom has a fantastic roster as well and those players are all very capable of taking multiple kills or even allkill. People need to understand that both line ups are high skilled enough and even enough to have the chance to allkill but its not likely, because its so even. ;-)
I am looking for a great match and I am pumped to cast it!

This is going to be such a good match! Dunno who to cheer for
Hoping Impact can make a good showing, and Liquid is able to squeak out a victory.
|
Stuttering stream , oh well, I can't complain too much with impact vs. herO.
|
Good start Impact.
COME ON AXIOM!
|
That attack looked terrible by hero.
|
Impact could max on drones and take this.
|
GET IN! That's one Korean ace out. One more to go until the revive.
TLO out now, come on Impact. It's so important for Axiom that they don't lose any maps to the Liquid foreigners so they have more breathing room against TaeJa and HerO.
|
Impact once again proving he's 10 times better than HerO
|
I don't think I've seen a TLO-like build from TLO in tournament/league play for sometime now.
|
That baneling morph blocking any defense was intentional, right?
|
|
Fuuuuuuck that's not good. :/
Wp TLO.
|
C'mon Impact. I wanted more
|
TLO in god mode it would seem.

Mouhaha. Please nobody tells TB this happened before he has fully recovered from surgery.

Well that was a weird game.

Yesterday Ryung did well against EG's ace player, beating Jaedong twice in a row. So hopefully he can take out TaeJa. If he can then I'll be so happy because TL will be out of Korean aces until the revive and it will just be Snute to be worried about.
|
Even if Taeja is broken, still better than no Taeja.

Or Retje comes in and takes names. How cool would that be?

No one can root against Snute, he just seems like a nice guy.

Fucking TaeJa. Even if Axiom can take him out before he cleans Axiom up TL can still revive him.

Not a Korean ace. He's almost as good as most of the Axiom players but he's not on the level of HerO and TaeJa.

long gone are the days when Ryung couldn't be beaten in TvT

Come on Heart, please capitalise on your lead.

Bahahahahahaha, SUMMER is here!

Woah how the hell did Taeja won that ?

Oh my god that's it. Axiom aren't going to win three in a row most likely. That was Axiom's best chance gone I fear.

Apollo and Kaelaris talked about it and when the terran got down right he typed a sad in the chat.

Hmm hellbats for Taeja. i still prefer marauders but to each his own

Dang that fight was insane. The baneling wraparound was sick
|
I don't think Impact has enough banelings.
|
Yeah. Once you have 1 baneling per marine you need some back-up in case you missclick X.
|
Impact seems to be hitting a bit of a brick wall here.
|
This game is sick. Can't believe Taeja lost that engage so hard but he's still in it
|
Mass Ultra's still not a good strategy :S
I think mass baneling is by far the best strategy to win a battle vs terran with a few ultra's sprinkled in to tank.
|
beautiful zerg play
but alas not enough
|
I wish the game would have been played on a slightly less controversial map in terms of balance.
EDIT: I forgot, Taeja.

Gah this is just terrible. Both Heart and Impact had a great chance to take down TaeJa but let their leads slip.
I hope 7-5 will be enough to get into the play-offs (and that Axiom don't screw up against Empire-Fnatic and mouz).

Ultra's can't win games by themselves. Plus lategame a 40 supply difference is made up in 1 production round.

It's cutting it close. Liquid, Acer and probably Mouz will be able to get 7 wins, and that would take 3/4 playoff spots. It'll come down to maps, which Axiom at least has a good score in. Axiom will need to crush the last two opponents. No more trading wins, go for decisive victories, get a very strong map score, and keep the fingers crossed.
Liquid has basically made the playoffs. Even a worst case scenario they would be 7-4

I'm with you on that, for me it would be way more interesting in a 1 vs. 1 format, maybe with one ace, so you could see the strength of the hole roster.
But that last game was really great game from both players. The 2 TvT before, well what do you expect, it's Teja, he know how to hold pressure. Especially when summer is coming.

I think their most important match will be Axiom vs. Mouz. If they lose that one, they're pretty much guaranteed out as Liquid, Acer, Mouz and probably Yoe & Myi all finish higher than them. But even if they win their remaining matches, Myi already beat them head to head and Yoe beat Acer & Liquid (though they fell to JD, which is very nice for Axiom), so it remains to be seen if they can keep both of these teams behind them. They have a great map record though, so there is still a legitimate chance.
But seriously, how does Taeja keep doing this? His playstyle doesn't change that much in the winter or early spring, he plays pretty well but just plays ever so slightly worse and dies. Then suddenly the temperature starts rising and he just wins. This is the Taeja that won so many tournaments, where it always seems like people just can't ever really kill him whatever they do. Jaedong is on his way of doing the same thing: Playing pretty bad in ~Season 1 of WCS, then turning it on for the rest of the year. Really looking forward to their games in WCS AM!

I think at least some of the posters are saying Team Taeja in jest, or just having fun with it. Two years ago in the IPL TAC, it frankly was Team Taeja, because he was getting like 90% of the wins for Liquid. But now Liquid has become a much more balanced team, and they are much more powerful because of it.
Honestly a one-man team cannot survive in the ATC, it is simply too stacked. The teams this season who rely heavily on a single super ace are not coincidentally not in the top 4 spots.
