At least the Swedish terran hope. The first and the last US is the only foreign country that plays decent terran because in SC lore terrans are a bunch of inbred hick criminals (i'm from the US, not seriously insulting anyone, etc.) happy birthday you inbred hick criminal! haha thanks :D it's only my bday in korea though i think (4/27) i'm going to be 24, so i guess in korean years that's 83? hey you're like 3 weeks older than me. nice.

GSL Format groups don't work so well in these early group stages. Say there are 1 Korean super player, 2 good European players and 1 totally unknown in the group. This is the case for a lot of them. The first match doesn't really decide anything, since the winner gets beaten by the strong korean and the other player gets a free win vs the total unknown.

Zanster and Morrow is through, so that means 100% through for Sweden, just like Korea.

also, "free"(?) wins against unknowns in the early stages makes perfect sense to me, because that's usually how seeding works. strong players should play weak players in the earliest stages to avoid having shitty matchups in later stages or having two good players eliminate each other while one mediocre player advances over a bad player etc. no matter how you format it, luck will be involved. but the one constant is that to succeed, you must win. so win!

It's just that when you look at TLO and Verdi they both had 3-2 in overall score vs the guy that advanced from beating them last. Since the first game didn't matter at all. If it's an overall more even group like it is typically in GSL I think it works better.
