Fk yeah LSC is back! Captain America gonna be there. Personally hoping that the other two casters are Day[9] and Wheat for the ultimate throwback. Gonna be sickkkkkk

You bet ?
on second thought might not want it though. Might tarnish my impression of the rivalry since Stephano isn't in best form
I understand but the idea of having him there with Anna, Rachel, Polt, maybe Rotti/Bitter, a cowboy hat, etc... Too many reasons why I want to see him invited. :D

Starts at 10:00 am Central Standard Time (USA)(11:00 am EST), I live in Texas so I assume that is what they mean, although they should probably specify.

It's in Austin, Texas, so I assume the "10 AM - 10 PM" is in reference to that time zone (Central).
The equivalent of that for those of us who live in the Eastern time zone would be 11 AM - 11 PM Although I don't know if I'm understanding the OP correctly.
I hope I don't get too much flak for this, but I hope Stephano isn't invited. He retired. His skill has dropped significantly over the past 10 months. Yet he still gets invites to all of Take's events to play a little SC2 and and warcraft showmatches. That's fine, he's huge in the community, was an incredible player (and is by no means bad now), he deserves those invites. But I'm really against him getting even more invites to overseas tournaments such as this one when we have plenty of players who haven't retired who want spots.

It says 10 AM - 10 PM, and because it is in Texas it should be in CST.
So if you are in EST: 11 AM - 11 PM Pacific: 8 AM - 8 PM

Got to agree with this to be honest. Really hope for their foreigner invites (if there will be any, but it's reasonable to assume that there will) they choose to invite more up-and-coming players, or at least players who've had a recent resurgence (like MajOr? ) as opposed to super established ones who may not be on top anymore. We'll see... :S

Oh yeah, I love qualifiers! The bigger, the better :D

Idk since the new year begun, Jaedong is 1-4(3-9) against korean terrans with the one victory being in january. If Jaedong can get into shape until LSC, that is certainly a MU i could enjoy a lot, but atm I feel, that we would just see a repeat the results of WCS America 2013 Season 2 finals.

Yeah, his runs at DH Bucharest and IEM New York were pretty awesome.
So on Battlefy it says that checkin is at 8:45PM and the tournament starts at 9PM. Since I selected EST as my timezone, am I correct to assume that it will start at 9PM EST?
Ahh... really sad that I'm not going to be able to watch this because LSC is probably my favourite SC2 tournament(s). Always great games, personalities, and production!
"The Lone Star Clash has been around for a while and has seen the rise of many players and casters alike, its a great opportunity for me as a player to compete in this tournament, I am very excited for the opportunity and will practice hard for it. Also excited about the hearthstone tournament, I am confident i'll win both of those, ring for a league of legends team and become bonjwa in a day" -CatZ
I assumed most tournaments only invite players because you'd think running a tournament in the NA was rocket science. Only leads to bad PR. If only it weren't so hard. A bit of irony, perhaps.
Invite some Korean players or polt will crush everyone! The players left in the qualifier + catz and huk are no match for polt and dong. *mostly polt It will be difficult for any top tier Koreans to win the qualifier due to the latency disadvantage so the only way we are going to see a high level of competition is if some Koreans get invited.
If anyone is going and interested in meeting up, message me! It'll be my first sc2 tournament and I'm pretty sure my friend who said he'd accompany me is bailing ):

Well my opinion still stands. Oh well if it brings in viewers I'm for it

In his defense he just qualified for WCS EU, he clearly can still compete

Yeah, but there are plenty of players in Challenger and even Premier who are passed over. I'm glad that he's playing fairly well though
Really looking forward to this event! If you haven't bought your tickets yet, you can save $5 by purchasing in the next 2 days with Coupon Code "starcraft" at http://www.lonestarclash.com/buytickets.
Oh I didn't realize WhiteRa was still playing sc2. He's only played 4 matches in 2014 and he hasn't played in long enough that Aligulac has marked him as inactive. Should be cool to see him again

I'm looking forward to the production level of this tournament since they only got 7k/40k on their donation campaign. Will it really just be a projector and chairs? That was a very ambitious donation goal for something that is still kind of a grass roots event, so it's not surprising they didn't reach it.

I think Nathanias is going to fly to Sweden this week-end.
And about Stephano vs White-Ra, not only it's a possibility but it's the opening match of the group !
I'm actually pretty excited for this tourney, an awesome mix of heavyweights, fan favorites, unique storylines, etc. Hoping they'll still be able to put on a good show only raising 7k/40k. I have hope that this event will get a lot of viewers this weekend.

Yeah I'm in Sweden for Fragbite, I was asked about doing LSC however I made these plans way before I even knew LSC3 was happening ^^

You are surprised that an underfunded independent event is having sound issues?
CatZ has got a hell of a lot more Asian since I last saw him
From what I remember LSC hasn't had many technical problems in the past. The biggest issue from what I remember was stream quality outside of US. I think their guys do a stellar job the last two events. They did have a big XD moment when something shadow guy that wore a facemask to a match then left before playing the losers match in bracket stages.
