In an effort to debut their players, cash out a small bit, and provide enjoyable Starcraft 2 content, team manager Pascal Anton has asked us to help organize this small tournament. As a personal voucher from BaseTradeTV, while there has been some "controversy" in regard to team and their sponsors, we guarantee players will be paid by us if the money fails to follow through. This being said, we know they won't fail, because we trust the team, their management, as well as their sponsors :-)

As someone who had never heard of these rumours before; including those things does kind of make it a bit of a weird announcement. I'd say stop fueling those rumours by even mentioning it.

to be fair the said like a month ago theyre about to announce their "supersecretunknown" sponsor but nothing has been happening so far so i kinda can understand scepticism

The "rumours" aside, that introductory paragraph is terrible. I would stick to the tournament, and sneak in that the players are gauranteed to be paid, instead of make it the focus of the entire tournament, which the current introductory paragraph does. Stick to the positive, and if you feel neccessary address the pay. "if the money fails to follow through" is all kinds of bad, and honestly supports any rumours that exist. Idk the rumours or even know what the team is, tbh, that's how bad this introduction is. LYGF is a team?

You all know god damn well that if he didn't say BaseTrade was guaranteeing payment, that the very first comment was gonna be "Haha, good luck getting paid they're a scam team!"
I will say though that there's no such thing as 'North America's Best' without any Canadians invited.

Small update: The OP of the thread will be updated with new information tomorrow,but as IEM Katowice Qualifiers are taking place on this day/this time, many of the players would be in conflict trying to compete in both. The tournament will be moved to the following weekend (February 15th) at the same time (4PM PST) :-)

HTOMario and Ghost haveto be replaced in the roster, but the event will still happen. I spoke to the management about their sponsor related issues before the reddit thread even hit the front page, and I'm satisfied with the information they provided me. Regardless, even if money fell through I still stake my name & money as back up so this event will happen one way, or another :-) Don't panic.

Hey everyone, just as a small update. Due to the rescheduling of the tournament, some players could no longer attend so they have been replaced and updated with some pretty top of the line graphics. There will be 2 English streams covering games as well

I will watch this ONLY because BasetradeTV is hosting it. I am extremely skeptical of LYGF, and just hope that their players don't get taken advantage of.

Small update; Since Vibe kicked so much ass in the Ender's Game Tournament he had to bow out due to scheduling conflict, but JonSnow will be taking his place :-)
