EPTOn January 25, 2014, Contrarian will be hosting likely our most ambitious and hopefully most fun tournaments by using rules ripped straight from the elementary playground: Captains drafting teams. Captains will pick teams from entrants and then compete with those teams for $200 in cash prizes.
Why You Should Enter?
Most Star Striker tournaments require you to pre-register a team of 3-4 participants. Getting your friends to buy in may be a bit tricky. This one, all you have to do is sign yourself up at http://thestarstrikers.com/index.php?topic=1070.0 and follow up to see what team you are on. Please also post your Starcraft ID name and ID # on your registration and follow up with the thread! Also, Check out the group Star Strikers in game to come play some private matches!

Captains Selection:
If you want to volunteer to be a captain, write one sentence on why you should be chosen to lead a team. On January 11, 2014, I will select enough captains to create as many teams as possible and post the results here. Selection will be based on skill level, attitude, and availability. Note: I myself will not be a captain, but will be playing in the tourney.
Private Draft:
The captains will get together on January 12, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. EST on the NA server and conduct a private, closed draft with me serving as the moderator and commissioner. This is meant to eliminate the "last picked" problem which can cause psychological and emotional trauma. Teams will be released on January 13, 2014 on this thread, but draft order will be kept a secret. I will serve as the "autodraft" in case any captain can't make it.
Tournament:
The official tournament will begin on 3:00 p.m. EST on January 25, 2014 in the Americas server. My goal is to finish the tourney in one day so the bracket matches will either be a best of 3 or a best of 1, depending on how many teams we have. The championship series will be a best of 5.
