What do you think of your group?
I somehow managed to get 2 zergs in my group which sucks. I also got an EU player as my first match which seems like the equivalent of drawing a Korean for LRSL so that's pretty lame. TheDougler called me out so hopefully I will get to play him even though he's protoss. Why couldn't I get any ezpz terrans that are in silver league?
Is there anybody you particularly want to play if you advance?
I want to play Darkhoarse because he likes to get #rekt

Well random has the lowest representation of tournament winners, GM %, total ladder % etc so obviously it needs some serious buffs. Everyone always bitches and moans that people only play random to cheese but I like to play a full spectrum of games so maybe I'll proxy 2 gate you and maybe I'll 3 hatch before pool. idk.

My PvT and PvZ have been strong recently and I like that there's no protoss in my group. It's not that my PvP is bad or anything, I have a 60% winrate in the matchup, I just don't like the occasional randomness. As long as I don't get nervous, play terribly or lag out I think it's definitely doable!

I'm not sure, there's a lot of strong players in EU as opposed to NA. I think playing Wintex would be both fun and very easy since he just told me the only build he's currently doing. Perhaps if I met Undead1993 we could put together a cool PvP series.
What do you feel of the current state of your race, and opponents races?
I feel like protoss is in a good state of balance at the moment. That being said it's still a very build order dependent race and there's always the possibility of a build being countered well. I think that's when protoss is really fragile. And I'm definitely someone who tries a lot of different stuff spontaneously which does backfire at times. So I think the ball's in their courts to try and deal with what I'm going to throw at them! What league?  Master. Just so you know, Luolis, I vouched for you, and when I'm eliminated early, you need to keep the Finno-Ugric flag flying high.

What do you think of your group?
I have two protoss  and one terran. I think this may be one of the only groups I may actually advance from so we'll see. My first match is against LockeTazeline who may or may not be good I'm not really sure.

I want to play Shellshock because he destroys me in practice but if I can beat him in broadcasted games I will have bragging rights forever. I also want to face Jer99 even though he rekt me in LRSL season 1 because I like a challenge. If I could make the global finals and avenge my humiliating defeat to DarkLordOlli, that would be great.
What do you feel of the current state of your race, and opponents races?
I am terran, so we are really underpowered as shown by the fact that protoss wins literally everything ever now. Honestly, I can't name a terran that has won a tournament in the past year. I have too imbatoss in my group, so things could go quite poorly. If we could play on a custom map where oracles are slower or storms don't do damage, but rather heal my bio that would be great.

You don't understand. This guy was slapping me around the map with his ultra/infestor combo and I couldn't do anything. I was deader than dead and he flies in with like 12 broodlords. I was just amazed by how tryhard he was.

Despite that P seems to be really hot atm, I think we need to stop them from winning this tournament where there is, for once, a tons of T so i'm really looking towards Teiota and KalWarkov, especially in elimination format, in order to show the strength of the only worthy race, the one foreigners are not supposed to play decently: Terran

What do you think of your group?
Imo this is the hardest group of the tournament. Undead showed his strength the last time, even defeating me 3-2 in a close match. This will be a 50-50 game and very unpredictable. For the other players, I don´t know anything about their abilities, but they are Zerg and Protoss, so anything can happen.

I expect Undead to make it to the winner´s match, so I´ll meet him there. I made some poor strategic decisions in game 4 and 5 the last time we met. I´m looking forward to correct them and take the victory I deserve
What do you feel of the current state of your race, and opponents races?
Well, Terran is very underpowered right now. It´s not even that the units are bad - especially bio units are still very strong compared to Zerg and Protoss options, but the core mechanics of the race are just inferior to the ones of the other 2 races. And the units and compositions we have avaiable right now, can´t make up for that anymore. Hellbats don´t fit into bio based builds as they are right now and mines are a joke compared to before. There is still time to prepare and I´m currently thinking of bringing in different strats to what we´re used in HotS. But I don´t know how this is gonna work out, so I might try to pull through with just superior mechanics and very standard play in the end. This ofc only works if you´re way better than your opponent and with a player like Undead in the group, this way will be hard to pull off. And this pretty much describes the problems of terran right now. You can basically only win with way superior mechanics in comparison to your opponent, while Zerg and Protoss have a lot of strategic options to win without any real mechanical effort.

My group seems pretty weak and I will obviously 4-0 it easily. Dwarfs and Drakes might sound scary, but a mighty bear like me is on a nother level. Neither does a guy with numbers in his name stay a chance.

If i advance, i wanna face Sabre in the finals, since he's a twitterbro and pretty good at this game just like me. Unluckily, he plays the race that starts with 3 fully mining bases and can build 100 units at a time, so it will be hard for me as a skilltoss to overcome this.

Some words on terran: so freaking imba. Even the mighty zerg and the weak protoss combined couldnt beat a 200 supply terran army consisting of ghost / BC / viking and 30 ravens. Marines do 70 damage, too. Too bad great progamers like InCa had to retire despite being 10 times more skilled than somone like Taeja, who wins tournaments left and right just cuz of his OP race. He doesnt even build the best unit in the game, the raven. Disgusting.

What do you think of your group?
Well, I have 2 Protoss and a Random who will probably end up rolling Protoss knowing my luck. We all know TvP is easy so I can't see myself having any problems. I particularly like dealing with Blink all ins and Oracles, so I hope my opponents go for these easy to stop strategies!

Jer99 got second place in LRSL 1 but he couldn't take a game off Undead either so I don't feel bad about that. Die4Ever should be easy because people that are actually useful to the sc2 community are either pro or super-noobs. And Die4Ever took too long to sign up so he can't be good enough to think he'll win much.
Never heard of chipmunklord which means he will probably roll me with a broodlord timing at the 9 minute mark. Next time I'll try to generate an easier group for myself.

Blizzard, hear me. A buff for random must occur. For years we have heard oppression against our lack of race. There are no successful random players- renowned random players like TLO and Gumiho have switched because random was too hard and Tilea retired because nobody can actually win tournaments with random.
Buff random. A vote for random is a vote for Justice! SC2 is too predictable and boring because there is no randomness anymore. So hear me. Give random players a 5 second head start in games. Make their workers mine faster. Make their units stronger. For we are the master race, the people with knowledge and the greatest forum users. Why do you think the best two live reporters are both random?

Well, I think I'm lucky enough to draw Pirfikrthon and his plethora of TvP problems in the first match. I'll probably just blink all-in him for the fast victory. Other than that, two more Protosses, shouldn't be too hard to cheese them out of the tournament as well.

Maybe monk or Jer, since they're like 80% against me and I need a grudge match. If I'm extra lucky, monk's computer will lag out and explode during the game. (This is fairly likely). EDIT: AND FUCK NO, I don't want to play Yoshi and fucking mech. Fuck mech. Seriously.

Protoss is pretty good right now, but I only really feel comfortable in PvZ at the moment. I think getting out of this group is just a matter of being more wily and clever than the other Protosses. I know zerg is "underpowered" at the moment, but zerg is probably gonna win this tournament.

I'm pretty confident in myself for this group. I may have voted for Die4Ever and The_Templar during lichter's TLCMAT but I have no problem trying (and eventually succeeding) to crush them here. I'm pretty worried about Jer99 because to my knowledge he's the best player in the group (other than me duh). I expect a pretty easy 2nd place out of the group unless Die4Ever gets lucky and protoss' me twice. I'm pretty sure I took the last spot for the NA portion of the tournament so I hope to show good games and prove I deserve it!

I think ZvT is in a great spot where the better player of that game generally wins. Sometimes widow mine shenanigans seem a little too OP but they seem fine enough. I love ZvZ passed the first 5 minutes as there's a surprising number of seemingly awful all ins that work wonders. As far as ZvP is concerned its in a pretty shitty state in my opinion. Protoss can just do too much.
Don't be surprised if I Ryung it up if I get rolled by Die4Ever's toss (or if The_Templar rolls toss)
