Hoping WW can pull off the win! Innovation should be tough though. San still undefeated vs Terran in ATC and Sting can show good TvT so maybe there's a chance to take him down.

ManZenith will carry the Wolves to victory. Also Check because that guy is apparently online god #2

Lets go Acer! MMA and Inno will crush
|
I don't know if WW can do it actually. Innovation will murder any Zerg, which means that Check is screwed. San is good, but I wonder if he is strong enough to take out Innovation. This guy is just too tough, and without a strong Terran (sorry Sting), it's going to be hard for WW to beat Innovation twice.
And I haven't even started on MMA. MMA is also dangerous, and very capable of all killing WW as well. And then we have Scarlett and Nerchio, who could take some wins as well.
Gogo Acer! Let's see the home team win it!

If WWmanage to beat INno they'll have to take on MMA (if he's playing) then if they manage to do that, Scarlett and Nerchio... If they somehow beat those four, INno or MMA will be back... Such a stacked team Acer is, should participate in PL
|
team empire almost beat Acer, so i think WW have big chance to beat Acer too.

Acer doesn't have enough depth alone to play in PL. And they only have 2 players who are living in Korea (MMA and Innovation), and 1 player who is unable to find a place to stay (Scarlett). They will need at least 6 players for PL, and even 6 players is very bad, since you have no other options.
Axiom-Acer might be good for PL, but even together the two teams have very little depth (a total of 8 players).

To be fair, Inno's previous team, STX soul, just fielded the same six people over and over again. Inno, Hyvva, four protosses.
Acer doesn't have any protosses, though, so that's a problem for them in proleague.

No worries, soon they will get Dear and Trap with their dirty Esports dollars and no one will stop them!
- This might be one of the most intense series so far. with Acer being so strong and WW suprising everyone with dominating group play, it really is a clash of titans. And it can easily go both ways (looking at you San/Check)
Gogo Acer !!!
|
San and Check to continue their domination! Go Sting too!
|
San all-kill please, if only for some joker-imba drama.
|
United Kingdom31934 Posts
San has to bust out some insane TvP ( an allin) to beat the Acer robot. Then theres check and while he is good hes not enough versus the zerg killing machines MMA and Inno. Cant wait to see who starts :D
|
|
|
San all-kill or Acer victory, there is no middle ground.
Killer match for a starter, nice.
|
what is he talking about, MMAs spliting is horrible.

Is it bad that with Check out I'd call this game over? No, no it is not.

Have you looked up the definition of horrible?

On November 01 2013 01:07 Promethelax wrote: Is it bad that with Check out I'd call this game over? No, no it is not.
Well, Check isn't done yet. Theoretically he could still be revived, but I have no idea why anyone would revive a Zerg against Acer.
|
His splitting isn't horrible; it's just not up to his usual standards (like the ones we saw in other ATC and WCS matches). And even if it was horrible, it got the job done.
Daisy is a good choice by the WW guy. He has enough to snipe MMA and even if he dies in the next map to any of the other Acer players, at least they can play San twice after
|

I think the scheduling is really sub-optimal for today.
WW vs Acer is a huge match in terms of determining the top team of ATC, while Mouz vs Liquid is a battle of fan favorites. Having both run concurrently just cannabalizes viewers and attention.

I'd say it looked really good! That is, until San kind of lost the mid-late game..

He held way better than I used to, lol. I love how he moved in front of Inno's base to fake a push while he was taking a third, he completely negated the terran push timing. If he could have kept his third he would have had a massive advantage after that.

I wanna see Sting! Haven't seen too much of him in HotS, though he had a great time end-wol, winning IEM Singapore and all

Related to Sting's supply blocks:
+ Show Spoiler +Sting getting supply blocked a lot is especially funny because I still remember what happened when when Sting came to Singapore for IEM last year. A bunch of us SC2 fans were talking about the players, discussing who was going to win. We had our favourites in mind, namely Lucifron, Vortix, Grubby, MC, Hasuobs and Oz. Then Sting came along, 2 raxing the shit out of everyone, wrecking half the favourites I mentioned above by a score of 3-2, then winning the final against Grubby with a 1-1-1 all in (lol)... all while getting supply blocked on average 4-5 times a game
And these weren't the small supply blocks like 27/27 when you're waiting for your CC to finish up in 5 seconds, or when you're squeezing 5 rax production with barely 2 base saturation. They were hardcore supply blocks and he would get them even if he was floating minerals, and potentially having +20 supply in the time he was blocked. Yet, his supply would rarely if ever drop below his opponent's because his engagements were usually very good. Such a fun, aggressive player

I feel bad for him. He got shafted for Proleague MVP. Don't get me wrong, Trap is a great player, but Innovation really pushed STX through the playoffs, accruing an insane record of 6-1 against Kespa's finest.
And now he's dominating the GSTL and he's dominating the ATC.

I guess that MVP award was purely for the Final, and Trap won the clearly most entertaining game in the final. It is unfortunate for innovation, but I'm sure he's not lamenting it over his current successes
