it's got to do with stuff like professionalism too, don't tell people what they are here to watch. in-game is important, but out-of-game is important too. otherwise innovation would be the most popular player ever and idra would have been another zerg. agree 100%. i don't think i'm alone in saying that if player personalities didn't matter i wouldn't watch the game at all. are there really people here who watch games just for the thrill of seeing sick micro and have no interest at all in the people in the chairs? to each his own, but i find that very cold and strange There are some people like that, but they're the minority. Most " esports " fans don't actually like the game they're watching, they like the players, the personalities, the drama and the entertainment. The spectacle of the " sport ". The sad thing is that Naniwa has brought, and keeps bringing, so much of that stuff but gets so much shit because of it.
It's funny, because Naniwa always says he just wants to play the game and be known for his gameplay. He doesn't get how esports works

have you actually met him? in real life he's a very nice guy No, and that has no value in this conversation. I will never meet Naniwa, so my impression is from how he acts in the public eye. And it's terrible. He's a fantastic player, but I can never be a fan of someone with a personality like his. I really dont think Naniwa has done anything really bad lately. Sure he is emotional and rages a bit but in interviews etc hes been really humble lately Besides calling Bly a maphacker like two weeks ago ? And he wished Vortix's family to get cancer... lol, he did? I don't watch wcs eu. that's pretty bad. Uhm, he didn't even play vs Vortix this season, and I don't think they've met anywhere else either, so if he did indeed say that it can't have been too recently. Unless they ran into each other on ladder or something. It was in RO16, can't remember if it was season 2 or 3 but still. ? They didn't play vs each other in ro16 in either season. They did end up in the same group in season 1, which is when the denied handshake happened, but I can't recall anything about saying something about cancer. Do you have a link to a screenshot or something? http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=424906¤tpage=26#506
Thanks.

So, once again Naniwa and koreans... I wonder how koreans rate naniwa, and if they also think he's BM and what not.

I'm pretty sure they take him seriously, especially because of his past accomplishments (e.g., Code S).

After Polt cancelled his participation I'm not sure why anyone would expect a good Terran performance.

Ah yes forGG as well. I mean Hack is good, but he had the displeasure of facing the Dragon Slayer, his loss was inevitable.

Especially since ForGG caused your favorite player to be a replacement

Terrans man. Macro, Micro 300 apm minimum to win in platinum - for logic there are not that many resources left!
Also ForGG unfortunately cancelled.

Well after seeing the Blizzcon numbers, if they won this I think we'd be back to Gom TvT.

Congrats to Naniwai! Sounds like a great series. Anyone know how long it takes the vods to come up?
