Life did a 1 base baneling bust on Whirlwind.
2nd game seemed standard.
1 base baneling bust? lol? really?
Huk loses to 2 aggressive builds from Life > "Life trying really hard to beat foreigners" Life uses aggressive builds against Stardust > "Life throwing to help Koreans get through"
Looks like Huk is being as deluded as usual.
Meh not really, because out of all of the games those two players played today, that was probably the weakest Life has played and the easiest time Stardust has had considering the matchups. Stardust too was probably going into that thinking Life would play much better.
Not here to defend HuK, but just saying that Life did indeed throw away HuK's chances without a fight.
Definitely NOT. If Life lost 2:1, Huk would have been out for sure, no matter what he does. The 2:0 for Sturdust increased his chances rather then threw them away.
=P you're silly. You seem to have overlooked the fact that only the 2:0 result would eliminate HuK.
2:1 for Stardust would bring upon a 3 way tiebreaker between Stardust HuK and Life. 2:1 for Life would have been HuK advancing 2:0 for Life would have been HuK advancing
In the end, it's all on HuK for not winning 2:0 over Heart (which would have giving him a 4-2 score + advantage over Stardust, leaving him with 1st place in the group, and Stardust in 2nd). Him losing that 1 game, plus Life throwing the 2:0 loss in there was the deciding factor between 1st in the group and 3rd.
Like I said, no way to defend HuK when he could have won himself a spot in the top two on his own merit, but Life did, in fact, threw HuK's chances without a fight.

Looking at the bracket I agree. I think the winner of the 2 will be favoured to make it to the finals from there. Although MMA has been beasting it up as of recently and I wouldn't be surprised if he defeats everyone in his path either.

Would not have been a 3 way tiebreaker.. Had Life lost 2-1 he would have had a score of 5-3 instead of 4-3, giving him the highest map score in 1st place. Huk would have his map score of 4-3 and Stardust would have a map score of 4-3, letting huk advance off of head to head.
But there is no evidence of Life throwing the series. And Huk should not have allowed that second game vs. Heart to happen.

True, Life would have gotten 1st, but my point stands. Also, nobody is talking about match fixing. Whether or not it was intentional, he threw the games. Be it a lack of focus or whatever, the term is still commonly used when you play below your level at any random point and lose bad games/matches for the simple sake of not playing the way you should or could have.
Expect some very tired / grouchy Acer and Liquid players tomorrow hopefully most of the people involved on day 2 won't be too tired to put on a great show
No one knows if Life fixed his games or not but I could understand Huk being pissed at how those games looked from his perspective. If I were in his shoes I would also think: 1 base baneling bust? Fast hive for no purpose? Are you really trying, Life?

They should be using GSL style groups. Would also make the first day a little shorter and less tiring (especially for the players). 5 bo3s per group instead of 6 bo3s per group with possible tie breakers.
