EDIT: Didn't want to tack on another post, but thank you for the support everyone. Glad you enjoyed my casting with Whiplash, it would be an honor to be part of more sc2 events!

Game 1 and the Scrap Station game were individually close games. Game 2 ended in a train wreck but it was a novelty to see mech and Rain responded solidly.
All in all not a bad series at all, certainly better than the other semi!

God dam it I wanted you to win Bomber. Now this is going to be the least anticipated osl/gsl final ever.

Going mech game 2 was an attempt to force down expectations, to trick the community into thinking his brain had completely broken and thus lowering expectations down to the floor. With these lowered expectations, Bomber's theory was that Bomber's Law could no longer apply.
Unfortunately this plan was scuppered from an unlikely source. A humble TeamLiquid poster called Wintex could not have his belief shattered, in even the darkest times, he would ALWAYS BELIEVE. On being asked 'would you bet your life in Bomber's triumph:
'there's only one person that's stupid enough to vote yes, and he's here.'
It was at this stage that I believe that the cunning ploy of Bomber failed to break the Law™ Haha, nice one.

Consistently macro oriented, but not in a Turtley way--he just gets exactly the right amount of defense to hold off most harassment, then mixes in some counter harassment of his own while adding more and more basis. He rarely goes for many Colossus, preferring to tech quickly to storm. He's very methodical, very stable, and consistently makes good decisions and backs them up with excellent mechanics. He waits for the right moment for a favorable engagement, then perfectly controls his army, then backs off and consolidates his lead even further.
Its such a different style from a "go allin at the drop of a hat" type MC or PartinG style aggressive Toss, but I feel that it's also way more stable and less coinflippy. Even at his most dominant, MC could be streaky just due to the volatility of his style. Whereas Rain is just so, so solid--only First comes close, but Rain is just better. If he wins this OSL, he'll have a well-deserved claim to being the best player in the world He kind of got wrecked in PL playoffs... His record in PL was meh to begin with, albeit SKT did lean on him heavily and they still gave him MVP for Protoss lol.
His record in the end was not that great but through the whole series he was really good. if you look at his stats over all the regular season it was on 33 wins and 14 loses. I don't know about you. but that is pretty good to me. and that winrate makes him 3rd overall behind innovation and flash and the top protoss. so of course he is going to get MVP for protoss. sOs only has a 27 - 14 and he is the second best protoss in the league.

I hope Rain makes it through. TvP is just a little more comfortable. I can't help but feel that my chances of winning the championship will get higher if Rain advances (laughs). I think he's in for a rude awakening. I certainly hope he get rids of this smug attitude XD i don't understand how you call maru smug if you think his tvp is good

that game 4 T_T Rain is such a beast in his micro. Using storms to retreat, putting immortals first etc... and surviving after losing 2 nexi and having one left ... Maru has an uphill battle imo.
