His builds are safe enough and economic enough to play standard in tvz. If you know, you're as good as him.

It isn't just about playing "standard" as that had no real meaning in a few matchups atm and there is always multiple ways to play out a macro game. It is that sOs doesn't win games by outplaying his opponent but rather by surprising him with weird strategies and tech switches. This makes him a worse player in my mind then someone like Curious who will win 90% with straight up better mechanics and skill.

Um you mean the world where was in the semi-finals of the last GSL and the finals of the WCS for that GSL season? Cause I don't even know where the hell Curious was then, I think he made Ro8 in that GSL though.
Oh yeah sOs also that Asian martial arts games thing.

Reality didn't get the memo on hellbat drops I guess.

If you're Norwegian, play both.

Unless I missed somthing curious has no relevant results this year. Certainly nothing compared to the WCS results of sOs. He made Ro4 in 2013 GSL Season 1... He's made a result just as good as sOs' best GSL result.

Hey Kangho you forgot the roaches. Or is he actually going to play this out in macro style? :O

I think you're actually just huge fanboy of certain players and so make up reasons for them losing.
Also potential Esf fanboy. Further analysis required for confirmation.

Unfortunately, StarCraft is not such a static and unchanging game as you wish it would be. The whole dynamic of cheeses, unorthodox plays and "weird strategies and tech switches" applies in a game designed for out-thinking and out-playing your opponent in a massive variety of ways. Sure we have our mechanical monsters like Curious, but based off of results, sOs has been better lately, and thus he can be seen as the better player, so being a player like sOs does not determine how "good" you are as a player.

That was in WoL and a tournament that ended four months ago. And 4th place isn't quite as good as second.
