Also, SNM can translate and is very knowledgeable about the scene. That puts him above most other (all) casters in that respect.

The most important part about being a caster is, y'know, being good at casting - clearly articulating yourself and the complexities of the game in an enjoyable way. Being able to translate has nothing to do with being a caster. Knowledge of the scene helps, but it should be a supplementary strength that merely supports great casting ability.
