This gave me a thorough chuckle.

Just $60 away from the nice round number of 2.5k!

Combat is still scheduled to stop by on Sunday and maybe cast a game or two.

Can I ask why you're closing the IndieGogo campaign before the event? I suspect you'd get more donations during the actual live event, especially if you are shouting out donors.

We wanted to know in advance what we'll be giving out in terms of mousepads, flags etc. As well we needed time to process transactions so we can pay our players on time.

That makes sense. Thanks for the reply.

Since your original goal was to get $650, were you at all surprised to break the $2k mark?

Well we were unsure we would hit $650 so getting to $2440 is really unbelievable.

Yeah there were a couple changes, Combat EX can no longer make it and so OneTrickPony will replace him and Believe also can no longer make it so he is being replaced by Moosy. Updates are here: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Icy_Cup

I would've preferred some sort of qualifying tournament, there are people in the area playing at a much higher level than some of these guys. Anyway GL~

Who in particular? We'd love to keep them on our list for future events.

Not winning top prize really bothers him and is a testament to his passion and BM. LOL

These really are the ones who have been winning local tournaments we hold, I'm not really aware of any others around at a higher level of play.

But with that said, we hope to have enough success here to be able to expand it into both a wider region, and include qualifiers.

Man... That sucks. I actually really wanted his signature on that flag.

Oh well, rooting for TubbyTheFat and Ostojiy then

This thing is totally live now. MaSa vs OneTrickPony is on right now. Both players have been using drops, really looking forward to what we're going to see in game 2.

It was asked so I figured I'd make a poll for it. Only put the old generation pros on here. And Scarlett because it didn't feel right making a poll about Canadian starcraft without her.

Poll: Who is/was the Canadian White-Ra?

Slush (7)

47%

Grrrr... (4)

27%

Kiwikaki (2)

13%

Ostojiy (1)

7%

Scarlett (1)

7%

HuK (0)

0%

Drewbie (0)

0%

15 total votes

Your vote: Who is/was the Canadian White-Ra?

(Vote): Slush
(Vote): Kiwikaki
(Vote): HuK
(Vote): Ostojiy
(Vote): Scarlett
(Vote): Grrrr...
(Vote): Drewbie

Personally, I'd say Slush narrowly edged out Kiwikaki as being the Canadian king of special tactics. Though there's probably something to be said for Grrr... as well I would think.
