There's still time to show the Canadian scene some support and get the prize pool up for players attending.

I suspect you'd get more donations during the actual live event, especially if you are shouting out donors. We wanted to know in advance what we'll be giving out in terms of mousepads, flags etc. As well we needed time to process transactions so we can pay our players on time.

If we break some high numbers in views people will start to take more notice of Canadian eSports! Go Go Canadian eSports!! Need more events in the GTA area :D NASL was a fucking blast! I'm very, very sad I've yet to be able to make it out to a bar craft yet but it's always some horrible timing D: Next one I swear haha And more on topic, this event looks sweet I'll defintely be watching online! Hope the numbers turn out great, judging by the indiegogo campaign it should be a good sucess!

Thanks for the reply. Since your original goal was to get $650, were you at all surprised to break the $2k mark?

Thanks for the reply. Since your original goal was to get $650, were you at all surprised to break the $2k mark? I was hopeful we'd get to 2k, and I'm very happy we did. 2k was my kind of stretch goal when we put it up, but I wasn't sure we'd get there and I'm delighted we're now beyond. The original $650 was largely symbolic because we know that's how much Take started out with for the HomeStory Cup, and that's our role model for this type of event. I think we will try to put up some way for people to donate more during the event itself, but for the Indiegogo system, it wasn't feasible to do so we'll have to set something else up like a paypal link. We don't want to have the players waiting to get paid or anything.
