Plus in contracts like these, there is ALWAYS a force majeure clause (look that up, you obviously know not what you're talking about). As far as I can tell, there was no Tornado, no Vulcanic erruption or a terror attack in the last 24h, so no that probably doesn't fall under a force majeure clause. I stated from the beginning that Take probably has no ground to start a sue, but if there was a contract, twitchs facilitys breaking down probably is one of those thing in which take would be in some way compensated for the down times. Name companies that provide you with free services and are willing to take financial responsibility for not putting up with some kind SLA. Are there any? No? Who would have thought! Yeah, if such company existed everyone would run to it and kept fingers crossed waiting for it to fail. And that is why such company will never exist. Also, Twitch was sponsor of HSC V, so if you treat your sponsors this way you are 1000 times more likely to go out of buisness instead. Well they were @HSC V, but we are at HSC VII at this point so öööh duh. Obviously Twitch would only sign such a contract to get the possibility to be the premier streamhost for an event such like HSC, and then there would be a clouse inside there to compensate for downtimes. Is it so hard to understand that people like take have to invest quite a bit of money to organise something like HSC and are going to loose money if the ability to stream it goes down because of the mistake of another company ? | ||
