Still playing it out. If taeja wins 2-0 he goes through with tefel over elfi. I think there is the possibility for a 3 way tie but I'm not exactly sure.

Oh god, tiebreaks at this hour?

nope no tiebreakers, elfi needs thorzain to win 2 in a row (which he won't do, obv)

If Taeja wins hes through, score doesnt matter since elfis map score is 2-1, 4-4, which is the worst score one can have at 2-1

Tefel is 2-1 (4-2)
Elfi is 2-1 (4-4)

If TaeJa wins 2-0 he's 2-1 (5-2)
if he wins 2-1 he's 2-1 (5-3)
there's no way for a 3 way tie

I think people have to realize how late it is in Sweden currently, and GuMiho lost the game for the benefit of himself and Jaedong. Would you rather play out another potential late-game situation and exhaust yourself, or just finish it so both of you are rested for tomorrow?

it's fair enough but tourneys need to do something about this meaningless game syndrome that seems to happen a lot

gsl group format solves this issue

its not a issue and gsl format are the stupidest thing i've ever seen. to much luck involved in the draws there.

Dreamhack could really cut down on the amount of players it invites and the amount of games that have to be played as a result. Group phase 1 and 2 are pretty damn boring and onesided for viewers also.

Surprisingly many foreigners getting through once again. Now we need the patented DreamHack Let's-Stack-Koreans-on-one-side-of-the-bracket-technique and everything's good to go for tomorrow.

would be funny if Gumiho gets matched up with Life now, he's going to regret not playing for the #1 seed.

I believe Life liked that a lot, he said in an interview today that he wants to avoid JD because he is not comfortable with his zvz, so don't want to meet the dong. His words not mine.

EDIT: The interview was right after Life won against TheStc IIRC

They want to have a large open tournament as opposed to a smaller invitational. I'm not saying its my favorite model, but its not like they do it for no reason.

But that is actually the hard thing about this tournament. To show that you got the stamina. I bet that the players who also do some real sports have some kind of advantage here.
