What would be the HomeStory Cup without public viewing with friends and cold drinks? Right, only half that great. Because of this reason there will be a public viewing powered by XMG directly under the flat of Dennis 'TaKe' Gehlen. There is a really nice irish pub called "Limericks". They will show you all matches and many stuff from behind the scenes on a big screen every day. Sometimes you will have the possibility to talk with some of the players there. The pub will open every day one hour before the show starts. They will cater for your physical well-being – you can purchase drinks and some food at Limericks.
Here you'll fine the Limericks: Wiedenhofstraße 60, 47798 Krefeld.

the lineup isn't as impressive at it used to be, but I think this is actually good for the tournament. less noname koreans, less huge favourites. it's going to be an awesome weekend!
Im gonna be there :D was there last summer and Im in the trailer wirh Mvp ( guy with red hair and glasses towards the end ) hope for someone like MMA to show and I would die of happiness if Take invited Polt :D

Well HSC VI should've been an easy win for Symbol and HSC V for Yonghwa (or MVP) in that regard, but this tournament is always good for a surprise. They will announce a lot more players too.

Oh shit sorry thought was the full anouncement xD In that case i hope more names are announced soon!
They say the pub will open its doors every day one hour before the event starts: Thursday: 13:00 CET Friday: 13:00 CET Saturday: 13:00 CET Sunday: 14:00 CET
Is there an age restriction for the pub?
Yes, there is. German law says, that StarCraft is not allowed for children below the age of 12. Germany's protection-of-minors laws are also in effect: 12-16 years: Allowed to stay until 22.00 16-18 years: Allowed to stay until 24.00

Long. I guess til 22:00 minimum, and on the final day it often goes longer.
But wait...in the start post, the event starts at 13:00. But they said the pup will open one hour earlyer. But the pup openes at 13:00 too. What is wrong there?

Not really, symbol zvz was horrible and there was plenty of zerg.

Both the event and the broadcast will start at 13:00h on day 1-3, at 14:00h on day 4. The pub should open its doors one hour before the event starts, but experience has shown that it's usually later than that. Normally, the show ends some time around midnight, but that may vary depending on the length of the games and all that.

Lol this one was good
Also invite Bling and Naniwa already!
Take always wants to create a friendly and funny atmosphere, where the players feel like home. I guess Naniwa won't fit in there

Seed/Taeja/Hyun ?
some of those names you mentioned would even weaken the average skilllevel of the HSC lineup lol.

Grubby is at the redbull thing, Idra retired, MKP is not so hot right now and who knows if Prime was willing to pay the trip, Naniwa doesn't really like HSC I think, no idea if Huk wanted to go (as a past champion he surely could go if he wanted?) but I also really expected WhiteRa and Sase.
Edit: I also don't think that exchanging all those players with attending players would strengthen the lineup, but WhiteRa should be there just for the BBQ at least :D.
Edit2: Actually I now remember that Sase stopped attending HSC after HSC V because he had some problems with XMG or couldn't agree with them, he didn't go into specifics and said he might explain sometime in the future.

Oh, it could be related to the fact that monchi couldn't join Fnatic (don't remember where he said that).

I think BlinG tweeted that he's going on holiday but that we still "might or might not" see him at HSC. My hope is that he decided that competing in the SC2 part of the event only messed with his ambitions in the Looping Louie competition, so he'll focus solely on that this time And I hope White-Ra will be there for the bbq - HSC wouldn't be the same without Ra and BlinG!

Two days left, then the waiting will be finally over, and the curtains will lift for the HomeStory Cup VII powered by XMG! And like it is since HomeStory Cup III, there will be a public viewing for the fans!
thx ratbert. guess on this short a notice it´ll be someone local of the takeposse, SALTTHEWOUND, if it´s going to be a zergreplacement or maybe HEROMARINE? well, either way - going to be great.

Hm, kinda sad that Xlords carreer seems to end in such a disaponting way. I had big expectations when he started his progaming year. I hope for a good replacement.

DON`T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE, support HSC.
Naama said that he will replace someone who doesn't come there. I believe it's the same for Bling.
On June 20 2013 07:51 Boucot wrote: Oh, just a question, does HSC give IEM points this time ?
If it gives WCS points and IEM will most likely also give WCS points, I feel like that might unfairly give the high placing guys a lot of extra WCS points. I mean its not like the entire system gives top placing players a huge boost in points (WCS season finale points) but I feel like for a non actual WCS event to do that would be weird.
All of this is entirely speculation and I don't think its been touched on at all
Well hearing Violet say at DH that he would go to HSC, i just assumed somebody would drop out. So im not surprised but great addition to the tournament.

Greykarn said on Live on three that homestory cup gives wcs points as a tier 2 tournament.
Im so in anticipation of this next Homestorycup. 2 Things I am afraid of though. Twitch will lag for me again (like it is since some weeks) until I only use 480p and that there will be the "homeshopping channel" advertisements again. Yes every show needs Ads. But please not this kind of. Its just brainwashing.
GLHF TakeTV Team! I wish you as little as possible problems!

i dont mind the advertisements at all and without them there would be no HSC.

but they barely have any influence over the ads that are being shown. Except for the video ads they run by themselves
After my world got torn upside down by the ludicrous results of DHS, I want this HSC to be as wonky because that's the tournament where laughable should happen.
I'm soO happy about the fact that violet is comming,he is like one of the only korean who likes to really ''party'',has a pretty decent english and is chill as fuck.
He might even play looping louis.
Also i hope dayshi and stephano won't get too drunk before playing...They always party before the play day, silly frenchies.
also lol@ogaming casting ; why would you want to watch that ? I love the ogaming crew but this is slighly off i feel,i mean the soul of the homestory cup is the player casting and the bonus IRL feature + global mood.Watching a stream without all that and just game commentaries is pretty boring for HSC.
What would have been REALLY cool tho is the ogaming crew being at HSC doing a coverage of their own, since they're a nice bunch it would have been a good add (well for french viewers only tho)
Nice im off all weekend from just after HSC starts, going be awesome Wish you robbed Incontrol before he went back to USA though Take but still i'll be watching!
I'd just like to raise the point that the Liquipedia page shows different matchups than are available to place bets on at PinnacleSports.com for the groups E, F, G, H. I hope this gets fixed, preferably soon. Just wanted to raise awareness, there could be many confused people who have money on certain incorrect matches when things go live if it doesnt get sorted.
Edit: I tweeted TakeTV asking for confirmation on which is correct and notified PinnacleSports staff, will see how it goes.

there is no matchup at all for those groups on liquipedia because no one, except Take & his admins, know them
I was under the impression the colours linked two players in each group together, indicating that they were to play eachother first. Or is that just a future colour indication to represent who got out of the group? I guess if you are correct, then you wouldnt think they would have just dreamed the matchups up themselves (PinnacleSports). I guess they must be correct..
If HSC needs money, because of the 25k prize pool and the not so high viewer count, they should do a "give what you want (0$ included) to see the stream" option. I'm sure a lot of people would give something because they love the tournament.
