I've enjoyed WCS AM for the most part and I'm excited to see the upcoming semis and final. What I didn't enjoy is all the hate and BS spammed over and over in the live chat. "USA USA USA" was the most annoying whether spammed by Americans or trolls. I also disliked the fans(most often Europeans) spamming that Americans have no talent and they really tried to rub it in hard with the fact that no NA player will be in the season 1 finals. Why so much hate?
I hate to break it to you Europeans, but the same will be true for WCS Europe in the near future. There was more Koreans invited to WCS AM than WCS EU and 3x more notable Koreans in the AM qualifiers as opposed to the Euro qualifiers. Code A GSL players will continue to flood all of WCS as the Proleague players claim WCS KR and the rest of the talented Korean players market themselves overseas. Eventually, it will be exiled WoL code S players dominating the foreign WCS markets with 1 or 2 foreign players in the season finals. If you even expect a foreigner in the world championship then you are only dreaming.
The USA is so popular to hate these days for many reasons... most of which I don't understand. I love all the EU players, I cheer for them most of the time. I lived in Europe for a few years and I really hope that they weren't hating me behind their smiles. I really doubt they did. The best time of my life was spent in Europe and if I could go back I'd do so in a heartbeat.
The only thing I ask is that everyone tones down the hate. It seems that most of the NA scene cheers for the EU players whilst the EU scene likes to spat on the AM players. You are more than welcome to dislike the USA or The Americas, but please don't hate our players.. they are trying their hardest to compete with the best of the world and it's an uphill battle.

I would have loved to see MMA join Woongjin Stars actually. He's actually got a lot of friends on the team, such as Zero, Ryu Won, etc. and being surrounded by amazing players might have helped him get back in shape.
But then we'd probably see a lot less of MMA though :\

Nah, I think you're missing the point. The Twitch chat trolls are a large portion of the fans. There aren't just a few trolls out there, there are many. Their mentality ruins the potential of E-Sports.

I think some europeans suffer from some sort of inferiority complex towards the US. Well, I guess that's not really the word I'm looking for, maybe jealousy is a more accurate term. Either way, that's why they like to rub it in that US is a little behind when it comes to SC2. It's just a bunch of kids anyway. I hope this might be somewhat comforting.

ARze I agree that Americans are overly hated upon these days BUT, as an Aussie, I find it really gets under my skin when some Americans suggest banning anyone who isn't an American from WCS America, without regard for the fact that most of the world does not have its own league to compete in. What would be their reaction if WCS America was changed to WCS China due to an influx of new players in China? Due to their history and geography, Americans seem to me to be much more inward looking than Europe etc. Maybe this is partially the cause of the American bashing?......or maybe the trolls are all French

Thank you for an intelligent response. I don't, however, understand the inferiority complex towards the US because I wasn't born to do so. I cannot and will never understand it. It's not that I'm biased or have hatred. I have pride for my country that is all. I was born here and I have my own perspectives, however, I'm not not blind to the stupidity and arrogance of my own countrymen.
What's best is that I'm nearly 100% Northern European! My last name can be traced back to 12th century England and on my mother's side, I'm Swedish too! That's only what I know of. Dutch, German, Belgian, Danish...I am all mixtures(blue eyes ofc.)
Maybe that's why I'm sane.. (quickly hops on a train back to Europe) Oh yea...might need a plane..derp..

Do you have anything to base your facts or "majority of the community", otherwise i could say people on teamliquid/reddit are the majority of the community, and i highly doubt we have such a high % of trolls.
You just read the twitch chat, probably got frustrated and answered there trying to have a discussion. You didn´t get it, because twitch chat... is just that, some place where people take a dump.

I could show you the ones for TLO vs Lucifron or Innovation vs Soulkey (especially after being up 3-0). But lets hope Snute pulls through.
