LOL, just checked Sen's twitter :

Yang Sen Chia Cheng is a 24 old Taiwanese Zerg player and former BW pro that is currently a member of Fnatic.

Aw, poor Sen. Hope they clear up what happened to him sooner or later.

But why have Violet play if he can't come to America for the live parts of Premier League? :S

You're basically asking if MLG has common sense / a brain . . .

Yea I don't get this... I'm one of the bigger Violet fanboys on the site, but he shouldn't be able to compete in WSC NA until the visa issue gets cleared because it's going to be a recurring issue.

The standard MLG procedure. If anything strays even slightly away from their plan they simply bury their heads in the sand and hope it'll go away/resolve itself/have someone else completely independent from MLG solve it.

This is why you're 3rd MLG! >.<

Considering we might not even see SC2 at Anaheim in a couple weeks due to MLG trying to save a few bucks on qualifiers . . . . I'd say MLG is ranked 0th at this point, rather than 3rd. And yes, I had to invent the term "0th" in order to accommodate how horrible they've been to SC2 lately.

Michael McClelland ‏@ROOTheognis 35m

@LzGaMeR I think they are waiting until the end of tonights broadcast before giving the w.o

Theognis said he hasnt gotten a walkover yet. Are you sure it's official?

It's up to theognis apparently

Hahaha. Leaving it to the player to decide. That's always been such a bullshit call.

Yeah, I agree there. MLG needs to take charge here, rather put the pressure on the players. Oh well

I don't think it's that bad of a thing to do. It's in the best interest of the viewers to have the game played, but it's not fair to a player to make them wait forever for it if that player showed up at the right time and the other didn't. This is the only fair way to have a shot at the game being played still without asking anything unreasonable of theognis

Well, that's what an admin is for. Having the opposing player decide is bad because it is a huge conflict of interest.

I don't know... it doesn't seem that bad to me. Especially since there could be two very different cases depending on theognis' personal schedule. If theognis was like "I have all night free, as long as he shows up before the end of the broadcast I wouldn't mind playing", then possibly getting that game for us to watch would still have been nice. On the other hand if theognis was like "I'm sorry, but the match was scheduled for ~7, and I have to be somewhere at 9, so I need to take the forfeit", then that's the way it would be.

I think that would be preferable to a strict rule where MLG disqualifies Sen 15 minutes after the scheduled time *if* we could have had a chance at actually seeing the game later in the night as long as it didn't conflict with theongis' schedule.

The idea behind conflict of interest is to prevent people who stand to gain or lose from a decision from making said decision, since there is a huge potential for bias. Sometimes having a conflict of interest can even be illegal in severe cases.

Now of course, our situation is much less severe, but it would be unprofessional for the players to decide whether their opponent is DQ'ed. These situations are why we have admins, so that we could have an official making decisions who don't have any conflicts of interest.

Yes, but the conflict of interest in this case doesn't affect anything in his favor. In his favor, he can just take the forfeit, which would be the default ruling if following strict guidelines. He'd be acting against his own interests to agree to play the game later in the night, so I don't think the 'conflict of interest' is a problem really in this case.

What a campy style.

Major play was terrible. He should have out-macroed violet while starting to slowly build ravens.

Violet just outplayed him, when Major realize he needs tanks, its too late and violets have BL... lol

Ah, the high quality Twitch always delivers- stuttering, choppy video even at 480 or 360. As an added bonus, occasional huge pauses of 10-15 seconds at least three times every ten minutes. Does anyone know if this is available on Azubu?

He looked good because Major insisted on suiciding a dozen dropships instead of pulling back to his 4 bases and transitioning into air.

True. I suppose BBoongBBoong does occasionally look good and it seems AZUBU favors him over viOLet

Well it's only a Bo7 and they have Symbol, so there isn't much room for more Zergs. Maybe B4 or Sleep practice more exclusively for GSTL since they have less individual tournaments.

Dude I was just wondering this! viOlet won an MLG, among other things, and has an incredible ZvZ. Why don't we ever see him play in GSTL?

Can't disagree with that. If MLG did fail at least WCS would be passed on to NASL guys who would give a much better crack at it (can't say for sure they'd make it work, but I'm 100% sure they'd do better than MLG). Would also be poetic karma for the snide comments Sundance made when IPL officially announced it's failure. Of course I don't actually want MLG to fail, as that's not good for anyone, still, I'd really love to know what shady little back handed deal Sundance made in order to convince Blizzard to let them run WCS. An offer the couldn't refuse? (or keep?)

I do not honestly believe that B4 is better than viOlet. However, viOlet is living in America right? Could have a lot to do with it.
