Cannons only cost minerals, dont cost supply and can be built without Warp Gate cooldown, so they are the smartest early game defense against drops which you need to expect. Mostly unprotected like this is simply a massacre. Cannons also stick to their position and thus prevent "player mistakes". If you play greedy this seems to be a requirement on such a map. | ||
