So sortoff is in Code B now? No, he falls to the Challenger League Group Stage with the 32 players who dont make it through the bracket stage. Only if you finish 4th ( 8 groups with 4 players)in the Group Stage you will drop out of Challenger Siw 1-1 TAiLS
WTF!?!?
So only 8 players go to code B? And only 8 new players get in next season?
This looks like the Code S GSLs of 2011, when a lot of jobbers were hanging around in code S (Tester, Sangho, Virus, Ensnare, Kyrix, etc...) because the system sucked, and people like MMA and DRG were stuck in code B forever

So sortoff is in Code B now? No one drops out yet, losers in bracket go to up and down groups because this system sucks Well I don't no if it sucks personally I think the Korean GSL system can be way to brutal if a player is sick or got a day off. So I think the WCS EU is fine The foreign version is nicer to the players for sure since they always get a second chance. At the same time I feel like it kind of takes the edge off of the intensity of round 1 because it's not like HOLY SHIT IF I LOSE IM FUCKED. I mean, I'm sure the players are probably happier with the WCS EU and AM version. They both have pros and cons.

How is an up and comer supposed to break in when there's so little turnover?

Will there be a groupstage draw?

Yea good points. I just think its important for 2nd chances especially for up an coming players. Would suck for them if they managed to qualify and then get right down to Code B again.
So I feel the EU system helps the unknown players a bit if they can manage to qualify in the first place. Also bracket luck don't got that much of an impact

I'm OK with first round losers in Challenger getting in up/downs group stage instead of being out immediately, but they should really eliminate 2 of each group, not just one. Then you've got 16 out and 16 in the next Challenger qualifiers, and it's even a better system then the original GSL one (Bo1 up/downs stages vs Bo3 up/downs).

Not sure if you're trying to get a rise out of people? EU premier league has been getting an average of 35,000 with peaks of 50,000 for games like Stephano V Grubby. NA numbers have been around 10,000 lower, but then EU has the advantage of a broadcast time that both EU and NA audiences can watch. Those numbers are low to you? If your argument is base of the fact that it's not pulling in the 80,000-120,000 LCS does, you're right, but then this is Starcraft, not LoL.

WCS America averages about 15k once the day gets going and the west coast people tune in (maybe like an hour or two in)

And it's great for people who got invited to premier because now it's almost impossible for them to get knocked out.

This is being casted more like a TL Open than like the showcase of European Starcraft. You can give it more than one day and play games one at a time. And there must be some decent casters you can find who are willing to come to the studio to do it in person. blizzard is doing a good job with making a shedule. they are giving this 3 days i think. one game at a time might be a bit too much, but only two games at a time could work. i agree what you said about the casters 3 days seems like very little to me. What is the hurry? They're not going to start the next season until the worldwide seasonal championship thingy happens, which means they have several weeks at least, right? Why not spread it out a bit more? We're going to end up with a couple weeks where there is WCS constantly from somewhere, and other weeks where it's completely dead.

If Duck is trying to attack true the siegfried line then he is screwed. Hasu will spoon him to death
