I always find it funny how when someone's favorite player doesn't win in the second match (or rematch) we have this discussion come up. I think the system is very ideal since after all much like in Starcraft 2 or in chess - the person who wins is the person who made the next to last mistake...

Grats to Parting, he defended brilliantly against probably the world's strongest aggressor (I'd also include Innovation and Leenock in that list). I find it odd that Life chose these zergling rushes, however powerful they might be, since he had won in longer games in the previous 2. I think he may have been goaded or taunted into this almost, in a sense making the fight about theory or "correct" builds instead of just playing good SC2. And I say all of this stuff as a huge Life fan, but I feel the better players advanced today at least.

Where are the winners' interviews? Does that still exist, or did the translators quit?

...really? Come on, man...do you work for ESPN and Skip Bayless by any chance?

Its a joke...chill. But he has gone out the last 3 seasons in 3rd place in the RO16 so I'm just hoping he doesn't develop some sort of mental roadblock. Or maybe he's just having an off day on these days.

It is a roadblock, though not mental. The roadblock is named Parting

To be fair to Life he always beats Parting the first time and loses in the second series.

It is more because of the flawed group system GOM uses then Parting being better then Life (I would say Life played better overall then Parting today).

Flawed group system... What is better? Dreamhack's system they used? Yea that coinflip was really awesome.

Parting outplayed Life when it counted. That's why he's in the ro8, and Life is not.

They don't have to use a coin flip if they have time. I remember ups and downs going through multiple tiebreakers with no coin flips. I would say everyone playing everyone is the optimal way to do it. The way GOM does it makes it more intense but it is also less fair.

If Life won, we wouldn't be having this discussion at all.

Dude just because Life lost doesn't mean you should blame the system. If Life won, you wouldn't be complaining.

I dont see how this system isnt fair. Until someone actually makes a compelling argument they're just complaining because their favorite player lost.
That's the 2nd time in a week I've seen someone sig a quote from this GD and I have never witnessed a sig quote happen in my TL history ever before. -Najda

Parting is very emotional in the interview, talking about fans leaving him recently, and feels very bad about that his relationship with Life and Bomber didn't go well after he left. He wants people to understand his cockiness and invites fans back to him. And Bisu got a shoutout too, his handshake gave Parting strength.

Edit: People upstairs already has interviews up.

I don't think that anyone should hate on Parting for holding two wierd ling all-ins.

As for Flash, his play was not that bulletproof as it usually is.

So he acts like an ass and apologizes when he wins? Heh.

I don't see Flash making it out of this group. I consider him to be a step below top tier and he is in a group of 3 top tiers. He makes everyone not top tier look like a joke, but he's just not as good IMO.

Well predicted, Mohdoo!

Sniper is knocked out of the gsl, so we need a new villain! Parting is our guy!

why man? innovation rolled over this group. you should be happy lol

i think he expects this thread to be more KESPPAAAAA posts rather than crapping over players/the game

yeah that's what I want to see more. Where are all the kespa fans today.

because there aren't that many true kespa fans, more like esf baiters

Oh man, I'm so sorry for PartinG...

there is so much Protoss hate in this thread, being a protoss pro gotta be really hard since there is a lot of people that just can't see the skill behind protoss play.
