Well we can accurately assess that everybody has the potential to win a GSL.
Except Marineking.

Of course Flash will dominate at some point. It´s what he does, because he´s ridiculously well-prepared and single-minded. But he is also stubborn as fuck. So while he could slowly grind his way to dominance in BW, where the game did not change for the whole time he played it, he will be fall off again and again in SC2, as long as it evolves at such a quick pace.

How did you live through 2010? This is nothing. + Show Spoiler + This. You guys forget how fucking awesome Flash's legacy is. How can you sit there and pretend that hype for Flash isn't a given. He's the BEST player to ever live. I can understand that Flash's fans (including myself) overhype his skills in SC2. He HAS show very good results in SC2 and his improvement is probably one of the fastest (Life admits it himself). A couple months ago, Flash was considered nowhere near Code S level and now he is part of the group of death, considered by many 2nd Terran in the world, and now places among the best in the world (NOT the best, but up there). Any blind statements that are meant seriously like, "No one can beat Flash, flash won't lose a game" or "He will own this GSL EZPZ" is definitely overhype, but lets not pretend that his legacy doesn't deserve it. If you are new in SC2 and are like, "Why the fuck is everyone talking about Flash??? The best he's got in SC2 is 2nd place in MLG... why are people comparing him to Gumiho or Bomber or MVS (in his prime). He's got a slim chance at best in this group of death." I'd say, take a look at some of the old BW threads and watch some of the old BW games. SC2 came from BW and Flash was the best BW player ever. Flash may have been the best BW player ever but this is a different game dude. Moon and Grubby were beasts at Warcraft 3 but I don't see them dominating the scene. All we can look at is SC2 stats when talking about who is the better SC2 player. You can't compare switching from WC3 to SC2 and switching from BW to SC2. Flash has shown great play already and you can tell he's going to be one of the best, if not the best. No, I can't tell that. Unless by the best you mean top 10. In that case yes, I do think he has the potential to stay around there. But I don't think he has what it takes to win a GSL yet or come close. I can tell by your posts that you are a new starcraft fan. Flash has been known to have some of the best mechanics and gameplay in history. I can understand if you say that Flash currently isn't on par with the absolute best players in the world, but saying that he doesn't have the potential to be the best? Cmon man... just read up on his past. Yes, they are two different games but he definitely has the passion, the drive, the hardwork, the talent, and the mechanics to be one of the best and eventually win a GSL. To be honest, I don't think he can win GSL also, if he's lucky, he can get into semis one or two times. This comes from a 15 years starcraft fan, watched Korean BW scene for many years. He's a genius, but his time has passed, once your age hit 20 or even just graduate from high school, you are on your down turn as a starcraft progamer, ofc assuming the scene is very competitive, you just can't keep up with those 15 year olds. what are you talking about? wasn't jangbi last BW champ?... he's like 23. What other youngster (~15) like Life at the moment can be considered better than flash? I said assuming the scene is very competitive, like 2005 BW. For Jangbi, that's not a very competitive scene. Just like Nestea's championships. You gotta be kidding me, a non-competetive scene .... In a non-competetive scene Flash would get those two OSLs on silver platter and would have the diamond mouse.

Seriously .
I was like (before I saw the groups), they better not do something silly and pick Life, Innovation, Flash, and Parting (or RorO) in one group.
And they did...
I kind of am starting to get sick of Group Nominations sometimes (would prefer it if they randomized it) >.>.
It is really silly from a spectator and a player stand of point that potentially the semi-finals are put into the Ro 16 group tbh.
This is the one time I am tired of player cockiness... when all the good players decide to want to knock each other out early on .
Edit - I guess we have to blame Parting for starting it? He's listed first in the group, does that mean he was the first one to pick and he picked Life (and I assume Life picked Innovation, and then Innovation picked Flash all for the lulz >.>?).

Innovation didn't really have a choice, there were 3 players left and the crowd was chanting Flash's name. The other 2 options were Bomber and GuMiho, and Flash said he didn't want to play Terran, so Innovation picked Flash.

Ahh I see. Glad to see Innovation wasn't part of the problem .

Blame YoDa, if YoDa didn't pick Soulkey, which both Soulkey and Flying were angry at when YoDa did, Innovation wouldn't of been compelled to pick Flash.

Man you guys are hyping this group so much there's literally no way it can live up to the hype preceding it. And given the GSL tendency for the most saucy matches to be lopsided, cheesy or plain boring, I am not holding my breath. :D
The other 3 groups will probably have better games.

I hope both Life and Innovation dont qualify. They deserve this for forcing this group. 2 good players are gonna miss RO8...

I really want to watch this group B play but it is in the middle of work day in my timezone. And I don't want to pay to GSL just to see VODs of one group. Is there still a rerun of GSL in EU evening timezone?

PartinG picked Life because he wants to show that Life's overrated, Life picked Bogus because PartinG weakest mu is PvT and Bogus picked Flash because he is a sick nerd baller . Well, the Innovation -> Flash pick was not surprising at all. Innovation only had two choices, Flash or Gumiho, so that pick was not surprising to me. Innovation has experience against Flash and none against Gumiho, so why would he pick Gumiho, someone he never practiced for? He just recently beat Flash in PL as well. Uh, when did Innovation beat flash in PL recently? Flash eliminated Innovation from MLG. He picked Flash because he wanted to make the ultimate group of death.... "It will be fun" - Innovation Whoops, no he didn't. But I feel like he still would rather play Flash than Gumiho, since Flash's play style has been studied so thoroughly. Not to mention Gumi is just better then Flash... Yeah, no. Well there is no conclusive evidence obviously and they are actually pretty close in skill level. Gumi just looks better to me. GuMiho is infinitely superior to Flash in virtually every facet of the game. I can't wait for him to win Dreamhack + this season of Code S and shit all over you blind haters. Mark my words his true potential will be realized. Relevant user name.
