Nathan Fabrikant @QuanticNate 15m @SinCitta @axiomesports @SC2MVP Unless @Totalbiscuit is going to be booting me after the first match, I will probably do both
I read some tweets by TotalBiscuit earlier where he said that he would be casting this week, so it's still possible.
MVP vs Axiom should be a fun and close series, though I expect MVP to pull through decisively.
MVP 5-3 Axiom
ROOT vs Quantic should be a bit less closer, though Quantic remains grounded in HyuN, Center and Apocalypse for their heavy lifting. The foreign ROOT players haven't shown too much in HotS, but Sage and YuGioh are definitely able to challenge Quantic at their best. Still, give the advantage to Quantic for having more consistent Koreans overall.
Too much Swagger for Axiom to handle (has he changed back to Killer?). I hope to see ROOT getting one of their zergs against a Quantic protoss. Apparently TT1 has solved the game. Again.
I feel like root gained popularity for being a NA team based on fostering talent. They just look like sell-outs now with their rosters and lineups. Not really a fan of them anymore.

I'm adding sellout to the list of terms so misused by the internet that they've lost all meaning.

Oh really? Humor me with your definition and application of it instead of posting a half wit vague response
There's two different definitions commonly used. Saying one is superior to the other is super silly!
1: Claiming to follow one ideology and actually following another. 2: Sacrificing good "integrity" or "beliefs" that made you stand out purely in pursuit of hard material interests (money, popularity).
It's a bit questionable as to whether either necessarily applies to ROOT though. At the end of the day they're a pro-team, and pro-teams gotta do what pro-teams gotta do. Getting a few heavy hitters is smart.
I still dislike them for entirely different reasons though, so I'm cheering for Quantic (and Axiom) :3
I'm not sure if 'selling out' is really the apt term, but Root seem very inconsistent. Catz has railed against Koreans holding back the NA scene, and then plays a lot of Koreans in these teamleagues, which would seem a good bedding ground for US players.
Root have pretty much gone from being a clan of friends that stepped up to be a pro team, to just another pro team. Nothing wrong with doing that, but it is disingeuous to make out that their previous identity and their current incarnation will appeal to the same folks
