I think he had practiced mostly WoL before IEM due to IPL6.
Lucifron has some really impressive results so far in HotS, defeating HyuN, Ryung, Center and ForGG. He really likes them hellbat drops :D

It's not a minor team league, it's a premier team league.
There are no other big tournaments right now, it's the only thing we've got and MaNa is 9-2 vs Koreans. Lucifron and Vortix have both shown that they can trade games with Koreans and both have a largely positive record against them.
And fuck ladder, but Luci has been #1 EU GM for quite a while with like 73% winrate, it doesn't say much, but I don't think he is behind in the metagame any longer.

It's only a $20k prize pool it is played completely online and mostly cross server.. That is like the definition of a minor event.
