Well, I, and many others, rooted for Koreans over foreigners because they were the better players and I guess we were "elitists" (I root for the Yankees too!). Now, I root for Kespa over the ESF players I used to cheer for because I feel they are the better players.

Why MKP T.T. Early 2012 was so easy :/.

I missed sOs's games : ( Is there a rebroadcast?

Quite surprised Curious failed in ZvZ with a 0-4 against soo. He was one of the best at the match up in WoL, and he has Life to practice with. Maybe Hots changed the game a lot for him.

The play of the whole group overall was pretty weak even sOs that pretty much dominated the group did not look that solid. If someone puts him at #1 Prtoss after this than thats just sad. I don't care about KesPA vs. eSF but I'd like for you to substantiate your claim that it's sad to rank sOs as #1 Protoss. What did he do today and in his SPL match against JYP that he could have done better? Who would you rank above him, and what they do better than him? Usually when i see a great player i see something that wow's me . Something he does extraordinarily well . I just don't see it in sOs . He's pretty good but he doesn't strike me as a special player. He won today builds that most likely his opponents haven't faced before . Soo and MKP both really didn't properly react . In term of who's #1 Toss ? I don't know . Can't say i think there's a definitive number #1 . Hell it could be sOs but if he is i don't think it's going to stay that we because i don't think the way he won today has sustainability. Btw i barely watch SPL it's in the middle of the night and Whiplash and Supernovamaniac are .... well not so good. I also barely watch VOD's . If it's not live i won't watch it. It's the round of 32 of the first hots GSL. It's too early for discussion on who's #1 of any race really (even claiming Life to be the "king of zerg" is premature). I share the same sentiment about sos though. He played well, but not well enough to convince me he'll make it any further than the next round. I still feel that Rain is a better player overall.

I have never seen a GSL rebroadcast. You're gonna have to buy a ticket and watch the VODs.

HotS ZvZ has nothing in common with WoL ZvZ. And Life wasn't the best ZvZ player to begin with in WoL and I doubt that his aggressive style will do him any good when all that counts is to mine from 6gases earlier.

Ye but I just dont have the same hate for SKT as I do for ESF. Best is my most hated BW player but I would still root for him over any of the ESF guys. A lot of the anger and dislike I have for ESF has more to do with BW then anything else. Grew up on BW, prefer BW, had to see it replaced by SCII. I can identify with KESPA and BW a lot more. I feel that a lot of ESF fans dont know anything about BW its history etc. I also think that by KESPA guys dominating, it will mean BW is the harder game, I dont really know why I think that. Cause in one way it would mean the same players were able to dominate both game, hence sc2 must be a pretty hard game as well. In any event, Im just trying to shed some light as to where the hate for ESF stems from and the rabid fanboyism for KESPA. I guess I'm an elitist but I think anyone that grew up on BW would be. Its very personal to me. Im not saying its right or healthy, but thats just how I feel

sight.. i never watched broodwar, but that doesnt mean im anti-kespa and an "ESF fanboy". This "War of the E-sport Organizations" is completley alien to me and i wish people would stop discussing it.
I root for players and teams, i dont care about ESF vs KESPA. i dont even think the players acknowledge or are even aware of this supposed "Rivalry", it only exists on this forum.

Do you realize how much of a douche you have to be to take offense because you expect someone who is a fan of game X to somehow give a shit about anything involving game Y, let alone show the level of respect you feel your game and players of your game are entitled to (hint: they're not)? Seems like a lot of Kespa fanboys can't get over the fact that SC2 and BW are entirely different games, and that a good amount of SC2 fans really don't care about BW.
If SC3 came out years from now and there were a bunch of new fans following it and new players (perhaps unsuccessfuly ex-SC2 players) making a splash on the scene, I would find it completely unacceptable for me as an SC2 fan to start telling SC3 fans which players they should be praising, merely on the basis of their SC2 performances.

its only natural for people to take sides since bw fans grew up watching kespa meanwhile sc2 fans have no idea or dont care about bw and follow esf because thats what they "grew up" with.
and to be honest a lot of bw fans dont want to be associated with some ignorant sc2 fans, not the majority just the few baddies here and there.
i see more dysfuction with people taking this seriously o.O
i kinda see it as bw fans being seniors and sc2 fans being a freshmen...and freshmen dont have much status in the world yet they're telling their seniors to go fuck themselves because we dont care for you and your old ways. i mean shit, "go back to your bw forums" is really annoying to hear, it feels like bw fans are old senile people that is being tossed away instead of being cared for.
this aint bw or sc2, its STARCRAFT. if bw players can't criticize sc2 (that so many sc2 people seem to be annoyed by), who can?

I dont go around here posting KESPA > ESF, I dont really feel the need to have to do that, no satisfaction and you just get banned. So what I posted is not ment as troll bait. Im just giving you a reason as to why I feel strongly about the KESPA vs ESF rivalry. Someone originally said that it "dosent matter". So I just posted as to why it mattered to me. I wasnt looking to troll anyone, just to give insight as to why I for example do care between the rivalry. In response people seem to be upset at me for my reasons. I invested a lot of time into BW it was a big part of my life for a long time, so I have very strong feelings over it. I know not everyone is as emotionally invested in this, so they dismiss our talk as trolling, flaming etc. when in reality its just our true feelings.
