SC2.no are proud to announce that we are organizing the first season of the Norwegian StarLeague and ClanLeague - a continuous online individual and team league for Norwegian StarCraft 2 players. Combined, there is 12 000 NOK (1580€, £1337 :D, $2080) up for grabs in prize money.

NSL (Norwegian StarLeague) is the individual tournament and will be very similar to GSL. There are two divisions - in the top division, 16 players are divided into 4 groups where the top 2 will advance to the playoffs. In the bottom division, 32 players will play a simple single elimination bracket for the chance to advance to the top division.

Read more about NSL on Liquipedia or on our official infopage (Norwegian)

NCL (Norwegian Clan League) is the team league for Norwegian teams. Any team can apply as long as they have 4 Norwegian players in their lineup - information on how to apply can be found in our news article. All teams will be playing in a round robin system, where the top 4 will advance to playoffs in similar fashion to Proleague, where #1 is seeded to the finals, #2 to the semifinals while #3 and #4 play the quarter finals.

Read more about NCL on Liquipedia or on our official infopage (Norwegian)

If you're Norwegian, you can just jump straight into the news article on SC2.no (in Norwegian).

That's not true at all! Both Snute and TargA lost to Noticimus at last year's WCS Norway and in SC2.no's last big online tournament Lefdal Cup 4 - there's always room for upsets. I won't deny that Snute has probably pulled ahead quite a bit since then, but at the same time Norway currently has a reasonably large roster of grandmaster-level players who will make the competition for top4 quite interesting

Cool! Gratz norway. We should def set up a scandinavian star league or something like that. We'd prolly end up having the Scandinavian Starleague > European Starleague

^^ thats the ggwp crew.
They might, but I think sc2.no and the various clans will provide commentary. atleast for NCL(the clanleague).
For NSL(the indivual league) i think its only Sc2.no that will stand for most of the casting.

No, I am thinking of two guys who casted some wednesday(I think) tournaments, Their names were Haegen and Arnstein. Easily the best norwegian commentators!

I believe wcs was played out during the summerbreak? I guess players like noticimus is focusing on school now in addition to sc. I think that is a huge handicap when there are other participants playing full time.

I guess i will watch it anyways, I am not really familiar to the norwegian scene so it will be exciting to see the quality and such.

Edit: stupid autocorrect....
