I remember there was a game in BW in which one player played terribadly, and the casters ripped on him so hard he started to cry like a little child after the game was over(even though he won). I think it was Sea, anyone can confirm?

I wonder if the ripping on HuK was anything like that.

Ultimately, Huk is showing us he wants to be competitive, and is putting in the work in a rigorous environment; why is he being shit on by a bunch of foreigner scrubs?

Because suddenly, based on a single man's unsubstantiated words, one needs to be a progamer to criticize another progamer.

But he got the point. Who knows why he lost. He certainly looked like choking. And at least he is trying and working hard and we should give him props for that. He certainly would've not be here tonight if he didn't deserve his spot.

Maybe my original post was very emotionally-driven after just watching everyone bash Huk ^^. My point is that especially in Proleague, there are some definite WTF moments from other players, yet all eyes are on Huk to win his match. If he makes mistakes, (which let's face it, he made a lot of them), the entire internet blows up about how he does not deserve to be called a progamer. It's just ridiculous, considering he earned that spot in the lineup tonight. If you want Huk to grow into a strong Korean contender again, give him time to get dialed in. It's been a while since he's been in full training mode in Korea, and the last time he was really training, it seemed like he was doing fairly well for himself.,

Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I always thought what mostly made a good player is winning games.

I never could get behind the IdrA-logic that a player who destroys his opponent is "terrible" and the losing player more deserving because of vague factors like a "gimmicky" or "abusive" playing style.

If winning and achievements are factors to judge a good player, plenty of Koreans that are capable of destroying major tournaments in EU/US and are capable of winning Code S are suddenly not good, because they don't win as much or don't have as much achievements. Not pointing towards the huk discussion here, but winning isn't the only sign of a good player.

In a match Flash vs Life, there can be only one winner.

But there are tiers of skill. Koreans who cant cut it in KR but can crush na/eu are still bad, na and eu are just ultra bad.

Want me to name Koreans that don't have major or even minor tournament wins in Korea and are still capable of winning Code S? Its about region as well. An amazing player doesn't need to be successful in Korea while he can still be amazing. You can have a slump or a bad time as well. I said winning is not the only thing you should take to factor a players skill.

But the thing is, HuK isn't doing anything. He gets send out rarely and does nothing, yes I would agree that this would be a sign of a bad player. But judging every player based on that... would be very harsh. It would be like saying only Broodwar players who won courage are good players, everyone who failed courage is bad.
