MC still would've been really behind. His first gateway was built outside his nat. He would need to rebuild that in main then push out with 3-5 zealots to take back his nat, and by that time Life can do whatever he wants and still be ahead.
It's still better than straight-up losing to the initial 8 lings.

Well I mean any defense would've been better than what he ended up doing. Was the nexus even done when the lings arrived? Would've expect him to build a pylon and send probes to defend the forge until the cannon was down. I'll give him though that he was microing the crap out of those probes,but yer... didn't do much in the end anyway

It makes it even worse that everyone wants Flash v Life because it'll be a rematch+kespa vs esf idea+legendary terran vs zerg or whatever. Ugh... MC is also really bad playing from behind afaik :/
Both Life and Flash incorporating some kind of surprise to throw their opponents off. Guess MC has grown a little overconfident after the easy wins against all the terrans though.
