yeah really sad to see both soulkey and bogus go out 2-3. it would have been such an upset if roro didn't win this.

Too much credit to KeSPA players, they really haven't shown anything truly remarkable. I still don't get how the TL preview calls bogus "the undisputed (or consensus? was the word?) best terran in the world. He really just has beastly macro and decent micro, but hasn't shown anything too awesome.

Because maybe if the game goes into late game, then Bogus wins? You saw the games, Bogus's unit control, macro, multitasking, and positioning was phenomenal. He messed up against a 2 base all in on Icarus and failed a tricky 3 banshee build on whirlwind. Other than those 2 blunders, he pretty much outplayed symbol, even in game 2 where symbol was massively ahead and barely won due to Bogus's superior late game management.

Bogus does NOT have perfect army control. He was nuked by banelings, let 10 ultras freely attack his riners and more. He does have insane multitasking, but Gumiho in GSTL-final mode shows the same, but with a hint of insanity to it.

The 3 zergs first, really? I bet you just enjoy the shitstorms

i rather dislike taeja and symbol to be honest. curious i don't have much opinion on, so roro's really the only player left i like lol

I never got your Liquid hate. Shame on you, ottertown.

i like hero, tlo and snute, dislike taeja. rest pretty i have little opinion on

It's funny but I have the same opinion. Not really hate on Taeja, but that's not the guy I like to cheer for.

:O
Is it because Taeja all killed Prime once?

there are several players who have all killed prime, i don't dislike them all. i just think taeja was overrated for winning several low-tier premiers (if you sorta get me) and carrying liquid too much, but ofc it's just my opinion

Ah I get that. I do think he was the best player in the world during summer 2012 but the hype got pretty bad, I agree.
I like the kid though. He always seems like he's enjoying the game and having fun at events.

Well a nice send off for WoL is to at least have a terran around. I mean it is the terran expansion and GomTvT so keeping a terran for at least this long seems to be a requirement.

There hasn't been a Code S GSL semis without a terran yet from all I can remember. Correct me otherwise.

off of the top of my head, july vs mc finals had 3 protoss and july in the semis, there was also no guarantee that soulkey would've won that game if he had destroyed the planetary, more likely than not it wouldn't have made much of a difference, taeja would have had a stronger army and plenty of a bank still.
So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie

There's no such thing as being "the consensus best terran in the world" and not being strong in all stages of the game. MVP had the title because he could beat you with 11/11 as much as he could spank your ass in a 30-min long slugfest. Bogus' strongest point is by far his macro, multitasking is good but not MMA level (at his top), and his micro is great but inferior to MKP's best point.

He has yet to improve, it's hasty to give him accolades he hasn't yet shown merits for.

TL writers love KeSPA. They were picking Jaedong pretty much every game despite him losing constantly. Took them a while to wake up to that.

Its been going on for a while.

Frankly for me the only KeSPA player that deserved his hype was Rain. And he dropped off massively after he made the silly decision to give up his Code S spot. Never quite been the same player since then. Nobody else has looked as impressive.

Yeah, going 2-3 and having horrible maps is sure being demolished.

I'm talking about that last game.

Not even the last game

Completely.

Were we watching different streams?

Apparently, MC got scouted and wrecked in the last game.

Simply stop to give roro credit for those games!

I really prefer MC to Roro but I have to say Roro was just better this time. MC tried to do some weird builds, sometimes he's awesome at doing that but it didn't work this time.
Still I love MC style, it would be so much better if the builds he did worked, but they didn't. I guess he'll have better time in HotS though. Much better to do crazy things as P imo.

Lets wait and see feels like hes recovering pretty well. Beside that it was quite funny how rain said he is not that good yet and nobody believed him, and then he started slumping haha

Yeah.. I can't remember what series or tournament it was, but I remember Taeja doing something that rubbed me the wrong way. It might have been insanely early or repeated manner mules.

Wouldn't really call his micro great. There are many times where he is clearly watching an engagement and just doesn't split vs banelings. Ends up losing a lot of Marines this way.

I'm not a Kespa supporter, but you guys have to admit there are 2 Kespa players over 4 players in RO4, so it wasn't really wrong to hype them a bit. Also usually new good players are more hyped than old ones, just because they're new, that's natural (of course I mean new to SC2).

I would say his army movement and position is top notch. His 'in battle' micro is probably his weakness but still decent.

yeah really sad to see both soulkey and bogus go out 2-3. it would have been such an upset if roro didn't win this.

Too much credit to KeSPA players, they really haven't shown anything truly remarkable. I still don't get how the TL preview calls bogus "the undisputed (or consensus? was the word?) best terran in the world. He really just has beastly macro and decent micro, but hasn't shown anything too awesome.

I'm not a Kespa supporter, but you guys have to admit there are 2 Kespa players over 4 players in RO4, so it wasn't really wrong to hype them a bit. Also usually new good players are more hyped than old ones, just because they're new, that's natural (of course I mean new to SC2).

? Roro is the only one left.

Wouldn't really call his micro great. There are many times where he is clearly watching an engagement and just doesn't split vs banelings. Ends up losing a lot of Marines this way.

I would say his army movement and position is top notch. His 'in battle' micro is probably his weakness but still decent.

Agreed
