It has been like this ever since the early Brood War days. Stephanos openings and general builds are always super standard.
I dont disagree with you. It's just always has been the case. Koreans never need to worry about early aggression from any foreigner.

Yes it has something to do with the community. I don't get why people can't just sit back, watch and enjoy the games. 75% of what you read is balance whine, hate, and any stupid statements thrown in the discussion without any thinking behind. Feels like the threads or chats lost their main point : talking about the matches.

You see, if you think outside the norm too much, you'll be put away in a mental hospital =[

It has been like this ever since the early Brood War days. Too true. Lol you were not watching Huk then... Sure there are exceptions, but that is the general sense.

His best is just not good enough at the moment.
I think they mean preparing against specific opponents like Kespa pros are used to

Those of you that keep repeating that Stephano didn't prepare, you are wrong. He has said himself on twitter that he prepared very hard for the match.

I wouldn't put money either way.
I laugh at your confidence though. Those things are ridiculously unpredictable.

Not entirely accurate that. Huk plays standard, it's just that his standard is aggressive. He still goes for the type of rushes most people have come to expect from him.

shit talking and hype have always been the core of LR threads

Its sad that he didn't go to Korea when he was in his prime. He could have been in with a shot of taking the whole thing in late 2011, early 2012.

Kids will be kids.

There's nothing wrong with playing super standard as Stephano did, but you have to be super good with your scouting to counter potentially tricky builds. Stephano just let himself down with scouting in the two games he lost and got burnt by tricky builds.
There's no doubting the mind games of the GSL format are a different beast than the bracket play which Stephano excels at. I'm sure it's something he'll learn to cope with better.

huk is quite aggressive and naniwa aswell. Naniwas gateway opening against DRG on whirlwind comes to mind as a good example
