Korean expects safe play and goes for some obscure cheese or timing attack.

It has been like this ever since the early Brood War days.

Stephanos openings and general builds are always super standard.

I dont disagree with you. It's just always has been the case. Koreans never need to worry about early aggression from any foreigner.

People are really having trouble with the format in this thread. Stephano is still in the GSL and could very well be in Code S next season, provided he actually stays in Korea.

Ro32 losers go to the U&D's.

He won't win in the up and downs. You can take that to ze bank.

Should be RO32 tomorrow. Afaik the winner of rain and keen will face flash in the RO24 so it must be the RO32

You people - just shut up.

As always the great bashing has to be performed in these pathetic threads now, right?

I'd really hate being a pro player and getting shit on at all times whenever you don't perform well. Such a shitty community at times.

Oh come on. If Stephano wins today you would see a thousand: good job, well done, stephano bonjwa posts

It has nothing to do with this particular community.

Yes it has something to do with the community.
I don't get why people can't just sit back, watch and enjoy the games. 75% of what you read is balance whine, hate, and any stupid statements thrown in the discussion without any thinking behind. Feels like the threads or chats lost their main point : talking about the matches.

Why do you need others' approval to think something? Are you 12 or something?

Has nothing to do with just bashing but how seriously do you take it if you don't even prepare properly.

Stephano has been preparing his ass off. His best is just not good enough at the moment.

I think they mean preparing against specific opponents like Kespa pros are used to

Those of you that keep repeating that Stephano didn't prepare, you are wrong. He has said himself on twitter that he prepared very hard for the match.

Not entirely accurate that. Huk plays standard, it's just that his standard is aggressive. He still goes for the type of rushes most people have come to expect from him.

Its sad that he didn't go to Korea when he was in his prime. He could have been in with a shot of taking the whole thing in late 2011, early 2012.

There's nothing wrong with playing super standard as Stephano did, but you have to be super good with your scouting to counter potentially tricky builds. Stephano just let himself down with scouting in the two games he lost and got burnt by tricky builds.

There's no doubting the mind games of the GSL format are a different beast than the bracket play which Stephano excels at. I'm sure it's something he'll learn to cope with better.

huk is quite aggressive and naniwa aswell. Naniwas gateway opening against DRG on whirlwind comes to mind as a good example
