With all these EG players streaming everyday, they get less real practice, and grants their opponents a way to studdy their playstyle.
You have never watched Stephano's stream then. He has not done a real build on his stream since going to korea. He does mass ling only, troll strategies or plays HoTs. How does this help his opponents?

Many hours of useless builds don't help him either

How is that any better?
Wasting hours everyday to stream troll games..... Now I understand why these guys wont ever be in line with kespa teams.

Can improve mechanics or micro. Not entirely useless. But certainly not ideal. But we have no idea how much he practices off stream in Korea. I would imagine it is a lot.

You must really hate Flash then if he doesn't win a GSL very very soon. ;-)
Flash has already proven he got what it takes to be a top progamer, and got the titles and records to back it up. His hype is based on what he has done, not some inflated expectations on what—according to his fanboys—he is supposed to be able to do.
The transition to SC2 does not invalidate his career prior to 2012.

Stephano's hype is based only on his ladder results or what?

You can't possibly state that Stephano's tournament results compare to Flash's. Stephano's tournament results aren't impressive on their own. I'm honestly lost on where his hype comes from. If anything his PL results are the most.impressive thing.

From this outlook you can only hype like 2 players in the world.
No-one is comparing stephano to flash for results, but saying there's 0 grounds for hype is a touch silly with the number of tournaments he has proven himself to be able to play with the best.
But his PL results are the most impressive thing? I guess puma has nothing impressive to his name then?

Thank you Flying for crush Stephano.

i watch GSL for competition, i dont care if a foreigner plays or a korean, i wanna watch the best games played by the best players. these seeds suck from a fan view, which is not biased by player nationality, but relies truly on the game/tournament itself and what it can provide.

Just got around to watching the final VOD
Creative builds from Flying in games 1 through 3, loved the multi-pronged aggression.
That DT/Zealot build would probably catch some steam if WOL wasn't coming to an end, in the current metagame Zerg is just droning too much pre-lair.

WOOOOOOOOW Stephano got destroyed. Nestea also threw a huge lead as I've seen him do way too many times .

No one is trying to compare their results directly. Stephano was the #3 earning in 2012. Does he get to attend more tournaments than most koreans? Sure. Did he win some tournaments that had no koreans (WCS EU, FR)? Yes, again. Given that, his results were still pretty impressive.

I feel like this deals the killing blow to his hype train in Korea, he will probably not return for the next season and never come back again, that is unless EG is forcing him to stay for Proleague.
not too surprising IMO
the haters can say kespa isn't on par with esf
but you def. can't deny that any kespa player can out play almost all foreigners
|
It's not even that Flying is kespa, there are tons of good Kespa players like Bogus, Roro, Soulkey, Rain, Flash, etc. Flying didn't get sent out for Proleague for over a month because his in-house record wasn't good enough. He's just not one of the players you would expect Stephano to lose to in a bo3 if he's on point.
