Korean expects safe play and goes for some obscure cheese or timing attack.
It has been like this ever since the early Brood War days.
Stephanos openings and general builds are always super standard.

Ah, it's not even kespa fans or stephano fanboys. It just goes to show that almost any korean good enough to go into GSL or the proleague A team will beat out the so-called EG-TL "2nd ace". Huk and jinro (maybe idra) were good for their time, yes, but stephano hovers firmly around Code A (or lower, as seen today). Remember that when assessing the best foreigner in WoL!

Look at that whining by Stephano fanboys. Maybe Flying just played better.

Flying took him apart with early pressure, in game 1 with fast DTs that Stephano didn't scout, in game 3 with stargate into heavy zealot harass, warping in all over the place with the phoenix vision, damaging Stephano's economy so much that he couldn't do anything when Flying pushed with colossi. Very nice play, it's rare to see a protoss put on that much quality pressure early on.

In game 1 and 3, Stephano played quite standard and got owned by well prepared builds: DTs in game 1 and phoenix + zealots warp in the main in game 3. Game 2, Flying played more standard and got owned by roach/hydras with Stephano's superior macro.

So guys tomorrow's epic matches, is that Code A? What round? The one with bomber hero MKP etc

Compared to the overhype they got, this kind of bash is nothing.

Stephano LOL.
Flying's confidence must be off the charts right now. Defeated Flash, Jaedong and Stephano in less than a week.

Second game, Protoss goes for 3rd with Immortal/Sentry on NeoPlanet S, can't defend versus Roaches. Collapses. Third game, mass pheonixes + zealots into lose.
The zealot attack in the first game was crucial as well distracting while the DT's go in.
3rd game was great, zealots and phoenixes working together extremely well.

People are really having trouble with the format in this thread. Stephano is still in the GSL and could very well be in Code S next season, provided he actually stays in Korea.
Ro32 losers go to the U&D's.

Should be RO32 tomorrow. Afaik the winner of rain and keen will face flash in the RO24 so it must be the RO32

Which is a grand total of two PvZs best-of-ones out of all his seven proleague games.

It's only because foreigners don't prepare. When it is Korean vs Korean, then we can't see the preparation difference, because they both prepared extensively for opponent.

lesson of the day : don't play standard in the gsl and prepare insane aggressive builds !

Stephano has been preparing his ass off. His best is just not good enough at the moment.
