I feel like a lot of it is because a player like DRG was competitive ZvT when Zerg was heavily undermatched. So with slight buffs to zerg, he was just exponentially better. DRG and Life are in a group of their own. No Terran can beat THEM, but plenty of Terrans have and will beat other top GSL Zergs. (Bomber 2-0'd Sniper to get here, for instance).

This is just player imbalance. DRG's ZvT just can't be matched.


But that was the same thing for ZvT in early 2012(MMA, Mvp, MKP were doing well but DRG, Leenock, Symbol were beating all the other terrans). Yet, Blizzard buffed queens and OL speed.

Because pre queen buff it was like 45% ZvT, and a small buff to early game defense was needed lol. They completely missed the mark though :\

Except that's wrong, in both March and April 2012 Zerg was getting the better of Terran in the matchup.

Exactly. Not to mention he had the most dominant run of any player in GSTL, when Zerg was doing very badly. He's by far the most accomplished of these 3 players.

It said ro16 advance rate, not ro32. Every time he is in ro16 he advances to ro8.

In that case you are not aknowledging the fact that Terran is having a very hard time vs Z. How to win a tourney when ZvT metagame is soooo hard for T right now?

Skill-wise there are still many terran's who play incredibly well (and in my opinion WAYYY better than the Zergs out there, skill ceiling between races is incomparable), but until someone comes up with something that will give Terran's a way of fighting back vs Z, there will be NO terrans winning any tournaments.

Thing is. Maps were already being changed (bigger, more 'safe' spots for OLs, easier to defend thirds) to help balance the early/mid game. And winning rates were near 50/50 in Feb Mar. Then Blizzard decided to just revamp the whole meta game with a EARLY game change. Since SC2 is snowbally in nature, even slightly changes in the early game has huge effects on the mid/late game.
