wow Stork has improved a lot lol. I didn't think he'll take out Fantasy since this is his kinda map. Sending the zealots to Fantasy's base to take out his production, workers, etc... then engaging in an open area for his colossi to do optimal damage was great. Go Khan Go!
Even though I am rooting for Khan, my heart always hurts when best terran player in the world loses :-( (and no, I dont care about your MVP/MKP/Flash/whoever nonsense, Fantasy is clearly better then all of them combined!)

Fantasy had a hard time engaging Stork at Stork's main since I think the space would've made it a really bad idea for his marines/marauders so he pulled back while zealots tore apart his main.

Fantasy was at 200/200 and couldn't build units to defend his main. Fantasy went for Stork's second base, while Stork went straight for Fantasy's production facilities. By the time Stork engaged Fantasy's army, most of Fantasy's raxes were dead, so he couldn't build anything to defend even though he already lost some supply. Fantasy was floating twice as much money almost, but didn't have any raxes to build units.
In a base race, always go for production, not mining.

He's decided to lose all the time in the past few weeks, It's really disappointing ;/ If he can't beat average players in PL he's not going to fare well in Code A if he hits someone really good.
With Stork, Jangbi, and Roro turning things around, if Reality can get back to his early potential, Khan could actually be one of the best teams as honestly I kind of thought they would be originally.

terran at 200food can sacrifice 15 scv's for defense (orbitals)
5 banshees pretty much 1shot a zealot. after 20shots thats like 15 dead zealots
also you normally get air upgrades for vikings and later on BC's are not weak lategame in 5base scenarios
protoss normally has some cannons and few units at home for defense too. so a terran spending 750/500 for defense isnt that bad if you get 200food as terran, have some banshees for zealot defense at home they aint that bad at all since tosses only real good harass unit is zealots. if the protoss has pheonix to counter your banshees then meh get sensor towers and use vikings whatever blah but normally that will never happen and it will only be zealots harassing you like that

That's why It's so frustrating to watch for me as a SKT fan, they are getting all killed by someone who isn't even playing that well. I guess that just makes SKT terrible.
He once showed up at a PL match and was cheering Stork on like that, chanting "SONG BYUNG GOO" (stork's korean name) over and over again, and the camera cut to him several times (that's what the gif is from). So awesome! >:D

Wow, that game got crazy. I really feel like Rain would have had a much better shot if he had tried to defend instead of attacking into the spine crawlers. Attacking would have been very hard for Roro with a bunch of unprotected infestors. Happy Khan took it though!

yes infestors are good if there counter is not on the battlefield anymore (colossi or ht)
but infestors are not the answer to every composition anymore.

I thought it was sad that Roro got a perfect neural parasite on the mothership, fungaled half of Rain's army, and had about as high tier of a Zerg army as you could make, and it got crushed by simple storms and stalkers. That's what's sad to me. And he didn't win with just infestors. It was infestors + 10,000 spine crawlers + toss with ZERO economy.

exactly. infestor is fine now : its a support unit with great harass power. but against protoss deathball, mass it doesn't do any damage.

Yeah. Not sure why Rain chose to attack there. His third was up much faster. All he needed was obs/cannon at third and some army to defend from infestor run by. Then he just needs 1-2 colo to deny mining on that base from the ridge. I think maybe he thought he was behind economically.

I think he was worried that if he defended, it would give Roro enough time to put up BL's again. Remember, he has no idea how much bank Roro still had. He probably felt he had the advantage on the ground in that moment and was trying to utilize it. It would take a while for Rain's expo to come back online and even longer to push out a new mothership. As you saw, Roro still had a ton of infestors, so it wouldn't be too difficult for him to scrape together 5-6 Broodlords and go back on the attack. It's easy for us to see because we have god vision, but for him as the player, it's a much tougher call.

Absolutely, back off and defend your expand. The Zerg is using the gas for Infestors, your need Colossi also Roro didnt have the eco to go back to Broods.

also you can micro out of storms (which roro opted not to do) you cant micro vs infestors
Kinda difficult to micro broodlords out of storm.
But incredibly easy not to clump them like that.
I'm sure you guys saw those mass transfusions. If I had to choose between sparing APM to transfuse and trying to micro broodlords, which most liikely lowers their damage output, I think I'd choose to transfuse, just as the zerg player did.

I agree with this. Roro had the better econ but Rain overestimated how big that advantage was. Plus, Rain had the base up faster which would help him close the gap quickly.

I think he saved three of them. Well still dangerous since one fungal means certain death for stalkers in that case and Rain can't replace any of his army
The thing is that against infestors Rain wants to force that energy to be spent far away from his nexus. Without Splash he simply cannot deal with infestors by defending his third. So if he forces Roro to defend he can pin those infestors back home. at least he can ideally.... It's just bad design.

hmm good point about the no 5th = low bank. Although they had very few engagements before that point and things were sort of chaotic so maybe Rain wasn't sure? I don't know. I just know that the player doesn't have nearly as much info as we do. Also, rain had zero money, so it would take him quite a while to make colossi. Time in which Roro would be able to secure his expo and start making BLs again. I think he panicked when he saw all those spines rooting and got aggressive and then got owned by fungals.
I'm left really frustrated by that ending, it just felt so awkward to watch after that great game. I loved roro's ' fuck your warp prisms' spore crawler placement, rain's consistent good feedbacking of infestors, various bases being destroyed or canceled with harass and runbys. The little back and forth leading up to the epic mothership neuraling and then endless storms on the broodlords. Heck even roro's snipe of rain's expansion at the end was exciting ( made me miss coca doing that at mlg's and stuff) but that final forced fight was just ugly and depressing to watch.

Infestor being "fine" is subjective and too early to tell. Majority of people still hate them . Blizz nerfed them a few times and they are probably still monitoring the situation. That aside, I find that the infestor is just a boring unit that doesn't create excitement. Who wants to watch the things the infestor do?
Holy shit. SKT defeated STX, the weakest team, in round 2 week 1. Then they never won a single match again. Their next and last R2 match is against KT, who isn't doing so hot lately as well.

That was a great match between those 2 teams. Really back and forth with a lot of action and tense moments. VODS are highly recommended, you could tell the korean commentators were on the edge of their seats.
