I'm trying to figure out if JYP should have felt really lucky to scout the TC, or if he should have been suspicious that he was allowed to see it or something. I'm just curious how much of it was planned or a snap call (it's smart either way), and in glorious hindsight, it seems like a pretty logical play to make: fake 3 gate blink/robo on Antiga, expand with later robo, defend any 1 base push relatively easily or be ahead economically. I'm wondering if the logic simply breaks down if JYP is able to execute a 3 gate blink himself, or if Shy in fact does something entirely different if he sniffs it out of JYP. It's not so much clinging to could have beens for EG-TL, since JYP and Puma were playing quite impatiently anyway. I am rather dubious of strategies that rely on tech cancels when the lost resources could make the difference. This is especially possible in PvP, where defender's advantage isn't very much. Scouted the TC once in the back of the base, went back to the ramp with the scouting probe, and then scouted it again (~75%) at that point, then probe was killed by stalker, then TC cancelled.

JYP Lost his mind in this game ... After the scouted the TC he saw no probes, no Stalkers , nothing on the map...sOs wasnt even trying to fake ...

Yes, that's a legitimate point in general, but it's not necessary to make things up about JD in the process.

It was a good read by JYP, but his Zealots were bunched and didn't even get to engage due to FF positioning. Pushes like that usually work because the Zealots are spread and hitting things, and the opponent's Immortals are pushed forward. Neither of that happened.

I love JYP but I do have to agree, why use him as Ace ? He seems a bit shaky when it matters...

Might be just testing the waters and player potential but that's the best excuse I can come up with. JYP not ace material either.
