Thorzain and huk look like they don't know wtf they're doing out there in Proleague. Much as the community loves TLO for some reason, he is not on the level of those two players at all. Having him play in one of these matches would be a joke, even if your post wasn't/.

JYP known for his vZ and JD fucking awful vs protoss, he still cant handle immortal sentry allin. They're on the same team. I was hoping someone would bring this up. The whole time I was reading this exchange, I was WTF-ing pretty hard. Yeah I was confused too and decided not to hahaha i assumed someone just typo'd and neither realised it

JYP can play damn well, he just needs to adjust to the tournament setting, focus on keeping a clear mind to ensure that his early attacks are clean and efficient. Good showing by EG-Liquid, Proleague is far from over, so I have high hopes! EG-TL fighting! JYP has had bad performances for the longest time.. I can hardly remember the last time he played a really good game against a good opponent. I get that coach would want to field him to give him experience, but right now he's pretty much a rookie. You don't send rookies as ACE unless you got something very special going on. Just by experience, even with that terrible map and with how he's performing vs P, even JD would have been a better choice. Personally, I would have chosen HerO, he looked extremely confident, and that plays a huge part on PL matches, particularly on ACE matches.
He looked in good shape GSL Season 4 this year. He only lost in Code A because ma boy Maru played an excellent PvT against an improved JYPvT.
But since then, only zergs + PartinG have looked good. Maybe Bogus too.

But I'm sure he'll choke or lose in high level matches...

I don't place HSC really high on my list. I do enjoy watching it though but TLO has been playing a wee bit better of late but I don't think he'd be as much help either. It would be nice to see him on the bench though

I think they might have expected JD, Taeja. And shy is pretty solid in all 3 match ups.

I know in BW some players were said to have gotten sent out in the ace match so they could redeem themselves/get revenge for a previous loss. But, seeing JYP's reaction, I don't see how it's worth it. Especially not worth the risk of devastating a player when you have good options if not better options to send. A player that goes 0-1 has a lot harder of a time putting the loss on himself than a player that went 0-2. I think only S class players should be put in that spot.

He clearly did the right move for what he scouted. He just got mind-gamed. He played what he saw. Fuck off you stupid shits. I like JYP, but 1 base colossus against blink stalker is not a good idea. What he did would have made 0 sense against blink stalker. He knew there was no blink. That kind of push is actually pretty strong against a FE and works a lot of the time. His micro was subpar with his Zealots stuck behind an Immortal that got focused down instantly. With better control and not wasting that warp in on the Zealots on the high ground he could have possibly won that. When did he scout the twilight cancel? I'm pretty sure his robo bay was almost done before any observers were in Shy's base. he realised when blink stalkers didn't hit him at the normal timing

Yeah. Look at Machine. What has he done the past year and a half? But I'm fine. He's still a cool guy to have around.

Is the Ace player chosen when the line-ups are submitted or when it comes to it?

Of course they wouldn't. Just like the Maple Leafs.

Hey man. Bryce still has the best commercial I've seen thus far. I call him the king of the commercials.

Ok maybe Sheth was a bit of a stretch to suggest but yes TLO is very plausible imo. TLO is very creative and could be fielded on one of these stranger maps and in current form is at least as competent if not more so than Zenio, JYP, Puma, Thorzain and Huk whom have all been fielded at some point so far.

The weakest matchup for the stronger of those three players (taeja and JD) is by FAR protoss.
Couple that with the fact that soulkey is obviously the strongest player on woongjin, so EG-TL is prepared for and expecting him, and all of a sudden sOo seems like a great choice.
