That last game is a case in point, HerO's adherence to standard play was used against him there, the 'metagame' was referenced and exploited. Why is that not strategic?

Why are you so against different trends on different maps? There is no reason the trends (you call it metagame) should be the same in every match and new trends only develop in response to standard play. There is a lot of depth in having to play different styles to take advantage of maps.

The 16k is at poor hours too. Granted it is the weekend, but still pretty late for US and very late for EU (or early depending on gamer sleep schedule vs normal sleep schedule).

I don't know that they should be tearing it up, as I didn't expect HuK to win at all, though I did have a little hope for thorzain. However, HerO's loss was just mind-boggling. He is an absolute miracle worker of microing in bad circumstances and creating last second walls at the last instant. To not wall or have a probe there was just thoughtless. Though I will admit even with the wall I'm not entirely sure with that amount of lings that he would have held on without getting really far behind. End answer: Hydra played HerO perfectly, but I really think it was a silly catch HerO should have been fully able to cope with, and I would have expected him to.

I decided to go full foreigner and picked: JYP, PuMa, Stephano (who isn't even there atm), Calm (who doesn't even play anymore and traded him for T-Zain because of point value), Sea and TaeJa. Why? For the lols and it's good fun.
