I wouldn't be so sure. The thing is, for the first time blizzard introduced a patch that didn't actually change gameplay, but just outcome. And that's exactly what we are seeing, Zergs that do the same things as before the patch, but lose a few more engagements, because the same compositions are just slightly weaker.

I don't want to start a big balance discussion but I think as pro-players patches do have a HUGE placebo effect. I was a semi-professional player in WoW (lol I know right?) but I remember the HUGE effect a buff in a patch could have on my play. You play with confidence, like you "should" win if you play right. But when you feel like your race/class are "weaker" then you feel like your opponent has to screw up bigtime. Almost a defeatist attitude. Not sure that is the case here but I do think any balance patch "buffs" confidence as much as anything. This is why we need to keep buffing units forever so our pros get godlike, we'd have 20-30 Flash and Jaedong's by now (joke).

actually i really think this was a very good adjustment and i would love if blizzard kept this apporach for further balancing, small steps instead of overbuffing/nerfing all the time
look at the hots infestor right now, no one is ever gonna build one of those (not that im sad about it but its a good example)

well, I think you really don't need the baneling nest to hold that push if you go for a 6queen build and have speed finishing (which he had barely). But then you have to keep energy for transfuses, which he didn't.
