Team Liquid slipping.

Up and downs are stacked too, so it'll be hard to get back to Code S.
Will always cheer for: MMA Bomber Taeja Curious Life herO Zest

how can anyone doubt mvps consistency? He was in the most gsl finals of ANYBODY. He made 2 finals this year during a time when all terrans were struggling. I dont think anybody can doubt that he IS the greatest player in sc2 so far. And he IS the greatest player before all the kespa players came. Lets see how he will do after his recovery

Have code S seeds been given out for next season?

Now it is hard to find people to give out, maybe stephano? But who else, Some EG international players?

I think giving seeds to KeSPA players again will make some fans unhappy.

If Stephano does stay in Korea for Proleague, then I'd have to assume it'd be him and Idra.

NONO, I hope they do not give code S seeds out! It runes the game seriously. Maybe code A seeds but not code S. If Stephano or Idra wants to get in they need to do what the Koreans do, they cannot get special treatment. The foreigners still have a lot of prove, you cannot lower the standards just for fan appeal. It would almost be like match-fixing, why not just put foreigners into top 4 a few seasons later?

But I would not mind foreign tournaments seeding korean players that do well in Code S, that is reasonable because being the Koreans are the better players.

1. give steaphno code s seed
2. foreign fan subscription increases by 350x
3. ???
4. profit!

Seeding Idra? Are you serious? Why should he be more deserving of a code s seed than any other foreigner lol

Well MVP is the best player of this game so far, out of any race.

The game is too rock paper scissors, so consistency cannot be expected. Even if MvP is the most consistent in SC2, I would not say he is consistent by standards of BW or other sports for that matter. He dropped to Code A a couple of times already, and his win ratio is not top 5. His recent performance has not been very good either.

blasphemy. He was just in the finals a season ago and narrowly lost by one game. He already won a championship and an International tourney and got to ro8 or ro4 in the other GSL season right? I don't know how much you expect from someone who has been injured since the end of last year and his arms go numb playing...

I agree that the game is somewhat unstable and there are too many factors to keep people from being so high on a pedastal they can never lose games, but MVP by sc2 standards is the most consistent top tier player. You would never not say he was top 5 in the game. There are only a few players that have stayed in the top tier of play in Sc2 this long. Furthermore, he adapted to sc2 and became the best in the shortest amount of time of anyone from Kespa still...so consider that as well.

You do have good points, but MvP dropping into Code A after being runner-up in previous season does not make sense at all. Life also got relegated. Just goes to show the inconsistent nature of the game. MvP has always been my favorite Sc2 terran (being a terran myself), especially back in the days when his TvT was like a crazy 90 percent.

I did not say MVP is not top 5, but his win ratio is not top 5. Check http://www.gomtv.net/ under the WR tab for either sets or matches. MVP is not in there (nor any terrans).

I just want to point out that you refer to Mvp by MvP and MVP but never by his proper ID Mvp. Since he's your favorite terran you should learn his ID.

This. MvP is nothing, MVP is a team, and Mvp is a player.

Blasphemy. Mvp is God. Also MvP was a stupid wannabe tournament that no one watched.

The true top players are still ahead of kespa...but yes some of the kespa players are code S materials but not championship one...and the stars of broodwar are actually the worst...look at flash/jaedong/bisu etc they are doing the worst!1!

Why did genius leave MVP again? Any chance they could pick him back up again? TSL could use a protoss like Genius, but they're tight on money probably.

Well...This is their first season where they will play only SC2...This season i think they will be transformed..Considering how much they improved in short time..Only thing kespa players lacking in my opinion is decision making..It will keep getting better with practice..
As a zerg player i m really worried about stephano...He practice so less..In one of his tweet,he even said he is playing dota for fun.... >.<

IdrA already got a seed this year into Code S. He dropped out to Code B instantly. Season 1 2012

Getting to ro8 during a time when everybody was bad at Starcraft was a good history with GSL/Code S I guess. How about champions like Jjakji and Seed who won their titles with tough competitions?
