1. MVP 2. DRG 3. Leenock (pretty interchangeable with 4) 4. Life 5. Taeja: The Summer of Taeja was incredible Starcraft 6. Stephano: People are forgetting just how good he was for a while. 7. Gumiho: Clutch teamleague monster, 2 GSTL titles 8. MC: Always there or thereabouts, however he is very inconsistent. 9. Seed: Broke the Protoss duck in GSL. 10. HerO: Consistently good play
I'd stick in Rain, but he's not been around for the whole year. He's also just dropped to Code B. If he showed the kind of play we've seen from him so far, over a longer period he'd 100% be in here. Is this for player of the yar? How could mkp not crack top 10 for what he did in the first half of the year and now back to back ro8 code S? He hasn't made deep Code S runs, or had a good spell over foreign tournies in different periods. That said, not his fault that Prime can't send him everywhere. If he'd have won WCG he probably would have made it in but he didn't do that well there alas. Parting likewise, much as I love him didn't quite do it for me. That and the glasses. He looks like what Elton John would look like if he was reincarnated as a Korean progamer. Come on HerO for game 2! That was a bit sloppy on his part, but that pathing is ridiculous. Daybreak is a terrible map anyway, surprised people aren't more vocal in having it removed I don't see how Gumiho can be ranked above marineking Marineking won a MLG championship and a MLG arena. 3rd at another MLG. Gumiho only made it past the ro32 of Code S 1 time this year. every other season he lost in the ro32 including one season where he lost to Thorzain Marineking made it to the ro16 or higher in every season of Code S this year. Gumiho won 2 GSTLs. sure. Marineking won 1 GSTL where he 4 killed in the finals and led the GSTL season with the best record. Sure, Gumiho is the better player right now, but for the whole year? no way The first half of 2012 before Taeja's explosion was the year of MKP. He was unstoppable in like every match up. His games against DRG in the MLG arena's were just unreal. Gumiho has been more consistent throughout the whole year. But MKP's peak was way higher this year. How is losing in the ro32 every season more consistent than making ro16 or ro8 every season? MKP has been doing shitty outside of GSL for like the last 4-6 months. Whereas, to my knowedge, Gumiho hasn't been getting knocked out of tournies by no name zergs and trimaster. he hasn't been playing in these tourneys... Like I said, I wanted to stick in one player solely for their teamleague exploits. Yongwha or Gumiho it was, but FXO got those shiny winner's medals HerO, well played. His warp prism micro is among the best in the game, he doesn't just use it to show off, but does it very effectively to save tech units. you forget that MKP won prime GSTL, KSL and IPLTAC this year too lol That GSTL, don't remind me dude
Plus aforementioned glasses, I don't apologise for my prejudice. Gumiho doesn't even get to go to foreign tournaments due to his lack of a huge fanbase, he needs some love damnit!
Oh god, Metropolis. Is that sneaky probe at Violet's natural going to be seen? Not sure what shenanigans he's got planned.
Voidray/sentry drop that HerO had a really tight build for is a possibility with these spawns I'd imagine

The Void Ray into 7 Gate, probably the most gimmicky quasi new school all in I've been seeing these days.
EDIT: Guess its not an allin, but why get all that tech and gates before the Nexus?

Violet's overlord's so good

I feel like Gumiho feels more consistent because he doesn't play as much as MKP. Huh..>_>

personal top 10 for the year, without weight recent tournaments:
DongRaeGu - great early on, less so now but still relevant Mvp - Mvp, enough said Leenock - good pretty much all year Life - insane second half this year MarineKing - dropped off lately, but still some of the best achievements this year. peak ELO was insane PartinG - some really solid recent results but remember he only beat one korean to win $125,000 lol. inconsistent in GSL Creator - started shining mid-year and still very relevant TaeJa - did really well for a few weeks, but his tourney wins were against rather weak lineups Rain - came on recently which is the only reason he's not higher, likely will stay relevant for a long time Stephano or viOLet - token 'best foreigner'

'HerO can't play lategame PvZ'. He's withdrawing now after killing a ton of stuff, warp prism sniping the Roach warren in the main, and getting Violet's 4th.
Is that enough with the greater spire closing on completion? Dark shrine on the way for HerO too so I'd imagine he'll try to take a 4th and go into harass mode. Violet's having to build lower tech units just to survive this timing

Hero though might have split his dts better initially.
