TeD over Lyn's definitely an upset, but Lyn actually drops maps to UDs pretty often now in Bo3s (but tends to win the whole series). Too bad for him this is Bo1. He's in a dangerous position with Fly in his group. Good play by TeD, Lyn played too confident.

Lyn still plays War3 as his main game, though he does SC2 on the side afaik. I'd still consider him the favorite, esp. if he gets out of group stages. The two strongest players right now in China are probably Lyn and TH000 (who dropped out in quals). Fly is the same as Lyn. Moon is supposed to be full-time SC2. Sky is ... idk, advertising, casting, and playing DotA. TeD just recently came back, but I think if he makes it out of groups, it could get pretty interesting.

Remember when international live events were few and far between, and WCG was the event of the year? With foreigners getting a rare chance at competing with those unbeatable Korean demigods, a huge stir when someone actually took a single map off a Korean, Tasteless rising to prominence as a caster with unparalleled enthusiasm and energy... good old times.
