 Stephano vs.  HerO --- Game 2 --- (03:45 GMT (+00:00))On Cloud, Stephano spawned in the bottom left while Hero spawned in the top right. Stephano opened an 11 pool but Hero scouted it. In response, Hero dropped his forge before his nexus, and his cannon before his gate. Meanwhile, Stephano opened with standard gasless three-hatch. The first deviation from the norm came at 6 minutes with Hero cannon rushing Stephano's third! 3 cannos went up and with the help of a zealot took down the third with ease However, Stephano took a new third to the left and ended up in a reasonable position. Meanwhile, Hero opted for a stargate and executed some very effective harassment with 4 phoenix, taking out two queens, an overlord, and a few drones. While Hero dropped a robo at home, Stephano pumped out some lings and took out Hero's leftover cannons at his old third. Hero dropped his third while Stephano continued with his double evo melee upgrades. With a bunch of lings, Stephano tried to cancel Hero's third. But with great forcefields, Hero held his third! Stephano retook his 'natural third' as his new fourth, while dropping a spire. Meanwhile, Hero dropped his robotics support bay, and begun collosus production, as well as charge. At 15 minutes Hero dropped his templar archives in the face of Stephano's infestor-ling army, and shortly merged 4 archons afterwards. Hero dropped his fourth while pushing into Stephano's third. As the first major engagement occured, it looked like Hero had the edge with equal supply and three collosus. However, Stephano cleverly engaged with his corrupters first, taking out all of the collosus before fully committing with his infestors and lings. Stephano took a considerable supply lead, cancelled Hero's fourth, and destroyed Hero's third. Only then did Stephano begin to saturate his fourth base and start his hive. At 20 minutes Stephano had his greater spire done, with adrenal glands and 3-3 melee on the way. At 21 minutes Hero snuck around the 'back door' of Cloud Kingdom with some archons and zealots and sniped Stephano's fourth! The second major engagement occured at Stephano's third with a max v max battle. The engagement was very even, with a good blink under the broods by Hero, and very good storms. Supplies were about even at 120 each after the battle - but Stephano's superior economy allowed him to build back up quickly. Meanwhile, Stephano killed at least a dozen probes with ling harass at Hero's third, all the while taking his fifth. At 27 minutes Hero's tech heavy army looked threatening but amounted to only 80 supply - while Stephano stood at 130 of infestor-broodlord. Stephano put on further harass at Hero's third with infestors, and then a final engagement sealed the deal for Stephano, with too many infested terrans and broodlings tearing Hero's army apart. Stephano takes the series 2-0 over HerO! | ||

 Stephano vs  Hero: Game 2Hero goes FFE, Stephano follows suit with a fast 3 base. Hero manages to kill Stephano's third base with cannons and follows up with a stargate. Gets out some phoenix while Stephano takes another third at a more far-away, exposed location. Hero continues to harass with the phonix while transitioning to robo and colossus. Stephano goes for...you guessed it, infesters. Hero takes himself a third base. Generally, it feels like Stephano is a little behind, his hive is late. Hero has a relatively small colossus/archon/gateway ball and attemps to take an early fourth. He has a bad engagement and loses most of his stuff to roach/ling/infester/corruptor. Now Stephano is on 4 base vs. Hero's 3 bases. He gets them broods up. Hero manages to snipe Stephano's fourth. In the end, Hero was unable to get a fourth until way late. He has a nice deathball army and attacks but it's not enough. Stephano wins with his broodlord/infester/roach army. Stephano 2-0 HeroNooo...our Liquid dreamboy has fallen. There's still a chance for Hero to advance though if he beats both IdrA and RorO. Let's wish him luck. | ||
