Standard LR rules apply: No balance whining, no KeSPA vs. GomTV inciting, no excessive derailing ESPECIALLY when games are on. This is not a thread for you to argue with other people. |

Nestea is a 3time champion, sure, but is he anywhere near Life's skill? absolutely NOT.
You are overrating Life from one tournament appearance, and I watched his play, it was not exactly revolutionary, in fact it was more down to TaeJa choking than Life winning. I really hate when people say things like 'Rain is the most skills Protoss' or 'Life is the most skilled Zerg' or 'TaeJa is the most skilled Terran player', it's total non-sense; regardless of their skill levels, if they don't win it doesn't matter. then you obviosly have the wrong mindset, or you are just trolling, or most likely, your just a blind MVP fanboy if you think taejas multiple wins across the world wasnt enough to make him the best terran in the world. or Rains ultimate demolishing of taeja, making to the ro4 GSL and finals of OSL wasnt enough to make him the best toss. Why does TaeJa's 'multiple wins' suddenly make him the best Terran when Mvp has 4 times as many titles? Either way you just come off as another hype-train fankiddy, and it's kinda sad to see. Also, a few deep runs does not make Rain the best Protoss, seriously what kind of glue are you huffing? I don't honestly care about current form, I care about consistency, and that's where the safe bets are always placed. TL;DR: Jumping on and off hype trains will make you one disappointed fankid. let me translate what youre saying: nestea is a 3 time champ, hes better than all the other zergs like life, leenock and curious cause they dont have championship titles, I DONT CARE IF HES CODE B HES STILL BETTER CAUSE OF HIS PAST CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHIES!! if you dont think that attitude of judging a player from distant past is retarded, then GL at predictions bro I'm amused at how it's just the Rain fanboys left sulking in this thread, get your shit together. You know what will be even more funny? All the MVP fanboys butthurt after Life destroys him... muhahaha. Nothing to be sad about even if he loses in the final. He is clearly the best player in SC2:WoL by far with no contest. He already won GSL this year and may won another one. This guy also got into the final 6 times which is the achievement that other pros couldn't even dream of. He was the player of 2011 no doubt... I just find it funny how all these MVP fanboys come out predicting 4-0 4-1 victories vs a player in Life that looks far better so far in THIS seasons GSL. What do you mean by he was the player of 2011? He is the only player to make it to the final 2 times this year and Mvp 4-0,4-1 unlikely won't happen but it's possible.
Well DRG has two MLGs, a GSL, a deep run in another GSL, and a deep run in OSL and two 2nds in MLG. I would call him the player of 2012.

Now it's the Life bandwagon, you taeja and Rain fanboys have jumped on. Sorry, Kids but MVP is going to school this kid. Life is good but I don't see him beating someone as good as MVP. Taeja is just overrated, the only thing he has done is school a bunch of foreigners. MVP has won 4 gsl's. Taeja has won MLG's. Beating up on the weak doesn't show greatness.

LOL, how can he be overrated. He has accomplished more than anyone else in the scene...
If Mvp is overrated, then everyone else in the planet is as well.
The control and creativity are what I consider the "skills" in SC2, not the opponent preparation abilities and intraset mindgames, which are MVPs strengths.
This is just so convenient. You're basically saying "every skill in the set of skills that makes a player good at SC2, that Mvp possesses, I'll arbitrarily remove from the set."
Which should not actually matter. A player is defined to be the best at the game, if whatever he does makes him win at the game. The game in question is Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty. Perhaps you should replace every instance of SC2 in your posts with the mythical games "Creativity-craft", "Micro-craft" "x-craft".
Who is the best at 100m sprinting? Is it the sprinter that gets from start to finish in the shortest time, or is it the sprinter that attempted it blindfolded, while running backwards without winning. Who is the best at tic-tac-toe? Is the the player who loses 100% of his games, but just drew those crosses and circles in such serene and elegant fashion?
Mvp is not overrated in Starcraft II.

MVP is the best SC2 player of ALL TIME, however he is not be the best SC2 player RIGHT NOW. So people respond to fanboys thinking hes unbeatable like he was in 2011 calling him overrated.... Between the two groups I think hes "rated" just fine.

No one thought MVP was unbeatable when he went on to win GSL S2, no one thought he was unbeatable when he won IEM and no one thought he was unbeatable this season and he is now in the finals. MVP is one of a the most consistent and solid performers and because of a few bad tournaments (MLG arena, HSC) internationally he falls completely off the radar. I'm really not sure how he can be so overrated yet be considered a huge underdog in both of the last two seasons he has appeared in the finals.

MVP is the most "successful" & "accomplished" SC2: "Wings of Liberty" player. He's definitely not overrated as he currently holds the most GSL victories out of anybody. The best SC2 player of all time will be decided after LOTV has been out for a few years.

MC has better results than DRG for 2012. What does MC have in 2012? This Who won more, DRG or MC? According to Sc2earnings.com MC won 110118$ in the year 2012, drg won "only" 108828$ :D

the problem is that everyone has their own criteria to determine 'who is the best player right now.' for tasteless, it's obviously who has beaten the player he last called the best player in the world.
is mvp the best? he's certainly the best at being the most consistent, 6 gsl final appearances since early 2011. that's unprecedented, and his play isn't gimmicky at all. in that regard, he truly is 'one of the best in the world' but it's pretty much impossible to argue just one player with certainty.
rain, even though i don't like him (i'm scared of elephants), is a pretty freaking dominating player, and he is certainly 'one of the best' protosses by virtue of his OSL final appearance and ro4 gsl...
i wish we'd all stop trying to say that one player is better than any other, until there is a player that doesn't lose to anyone for 3 months through metagame shifts... then it'd be certain. right now you've got a pool of top best players, but who wins on the day? it's down to so many factors, but they're still amazing at sc2.

I I am currently living in Seoul for a few months and I would really like to catch the Code S finals live on oct 20th. Do I have to buy tickets to see the games? And where is the event going to be hosted?
Thanks

The event is going to be at COEX, in Seoul.
I don't have any official intel for the tickets, but since normal games in the studio are free, i'm pretty the finals also are.
