ahhh i was really hyped when i read the main page coverage of this, but the only free stream is 360p ? come on, i can't watch this, it's terrible. I'm sooo spoiled right now from all the HD streams In the good ol' days i would have been happy for 360p with english commentary but now it's almost unwatchable [/rant]

The problem with Bo5 series for finals is that they sometimes take only a very short time, because not all match-ups are equally well designed and not all players are at the skill level yet where they won't die to rush builds so much. So I can see why they would have a final that is Bo7, maybe from a certain point of view it's not ideal, but it eliminates a lot of the risk of terrible short finals, with the only cost being that finals drag out a bit.

The result of the series feels like a foregone conclusion. The spectators hit alt-tab, and other important internet things are done while the SC2 match finishes in the background. If the match feels like a foregone conclusion, that's because it pretty much is. There have been 31 Bo7 series that reached the point of 3-1 or 3-0. Of those, in only one match did the disadvantaged player eventually win the series. That's right. You could have closed out the stream and gone to bed after a 3-1 or 3-0 result and only regretted it 3.2% of the time. This feeling of anti-climax is eliminated by a Bo5 finals format. Even players in an 0-2 hole don't seem incapable of pulling the match out. ... So Rain is the 3.2%?
